Almost perfect Handlebar bag
I’ve finally gotten around to writing a review for this excellent gravel / road bike oriented handlebar bag. The first feature that drew me to purchase it was the stand-off from the handlebar, letting riders grasp the bar-tops behind the bag. The second feature I appreciate is the streamlined shape that maximized volume while minimizing the frontal area facing the wind. While I find the size usefully large, but not as large as a touring bar bag, and it should be confused with a backpacking bag. This bag is strictly a day ride or a weekender bag. The dual zippered main compartment makes carrying a battery pack for my headlight easy to connect. It seems to withstand both sweat and rain pretty well, although I wouldn’t call it waterproof. My only gripe is that with my 90mm -6º stem on a 52.5cm Salsa Stormchaser, the stabilizer strap isn’t happy being looped under the HT/DT junction or around the stem boom portion. I finally took it off when I didn’t see much useful benefit from it. Perhaps longer stems of larger frames would benefit from the strap. I have used the bag on long road rides and both the WTF and TdBB Dirty Bear gravel rides and it has proven sturdy and useful.
