The Stinson has been my go to shoe for the last several years running ultras. I’ve been through 8 plus pair of them. The nice wide toe box is no more and they are a foot squeezer. Not sure why the change.
This is my third pair of Stinson's (two model 7's and one model 8) and these feel a half size too small. The shoe feels light and stable. A bit more support than I felt with the 7's so overall 5 stars. This model just came out and I had no reviews to reference but I wanted others to know about my sizing issue.
Fantastic shoe. If you like the 7, you’ll like the 8. Very plush but feels pretty stable, and feels lighter than the 7 to me. I like the new heel collar, so far less debris gets in. Upper is soft yet sturdy. It’s a big shoe, so be prepared to be another 2 inches taller.
These Stinson 8s are much better than the 7s. The toes on the 7s split open, these look to be much better. One fewer lace crossings are also better as are the tapered heels. They’re comfortable and the fit well.
