Smartwool  Thermal Merino Joggers

I bought these (and two other 100% Merino baselayers from Smartwool) that are now full of holes after 1 ski season. Moths love these and the holes were tiny at first but got much worse after washing. We have other wool baselayers with a minimal amount of synthetic material blended that were not damaged. The fabric is also very thin and stretches out, looking baggy and unflattering. For the price, this is very disappointing and not worth the extra effort to moth proof our storage. Will stick to more brands with more durability. It's too bad because I loved my first pair which is why I bought two more. . . still love their socks though.

Very comfortable for wear around the house when it is cool. It has useful pockets. The biggest negative for me is the stitching on the front that looks like a fly. I don't wear these outside of the house because the faux fly makes it look as though I'm just wearing long johns. I'm 5'9"" and 149lbs with a 33"" inseam, so I am thin and I have long legs. I purchased a size small. These joggers are almost long enough to go to my ankles. It is rare that I ever find anything with a long enough inseam but this is close. I wish that the elastic was just a little tighter. I tend to prefer a slightly less relaxed fit but these are still nice.

They are incredibly warm and comfortable. They are also true to the sizing chart. I am 5' 5"" and 120 lbs. and the waistband sits a little loosely on me, but just the right amount. That being said, the waistband is thick and incredibly soft on the inside--I wish all waistbands were this nice. You could definitely leave the house in these alone, but the stitching on them makes them look a bit more pajama-y/loungewear like. With a long shirt, sweater, coat, etc. though, you could do it confidently. #sweepstakes

Hmm, I both love and dislike these. I love that they're 100% merino, the fabric is great. I'm not a fan of the waistband, maybe as a woman it just doesn't feel right or comfortable. These are clearly made for men even if advertised unisex. I just got a huge size (2 sizes larger) so I could tolerate the waistband and fold it over a few times so it was softer and not cutting into me and I wear another layer underneath. . . so now they're great but I had to return twice as my normal size wasn't working. I'm a woman's medium so they say size down to a small, I did, then ordered a medium, and landed on a large. Good for the house.

Very comfy! The true fit guide recommended a small, but I went with large. I'm a 5'9"" & 175lbs female. I usually wear woman's size 12. I wanted them to be relaxed in the hips & with the wide elastic band I didn't want them to dig in. They are a little larger than I wanted, but I got them to be comfy travel pants & anticipate spending a lot of time sitting in them. I've worn them 4 times now around the house & I love them. My only complaint is they look like a mans style with a fake opening in the front like men's boxers would have. They don't actually open, they just have stitching that makes them look like they do. I wouldn't consider the look to be unisex, but masculine.

I recently got these through a warranty replacement so I can't thank yall enough there at smartwool. I am using these joggers as a winter base layer. I was unsure about getting a small in the other base layer options and these seemed to be the only xs option without getting woman specific options. I really enjoy having the pockets to keep my battery and or water filter warm. They are not itchy a bit baggy which i like. The cuffs are nice and robust. Overall very nice. Glad I decided to get the xs. Which was my main goal other than finding a 100% merino wool option. These checked all my boxes.

Normally I wear a size XL, but I found from a previous purchase that Smartwool's women's XL was too small, and the item I wanted did not come in 2X. In this case, the size chart indicated that it's a men's XL and women's 2X, so I bought it. It fits. This style is labeled a ""jogger"", but the snug fit in the legs makes it leggings. It's great to wear around the house, but to go out in public I need an oversized top or tunic. It's snug enough to wear as a base layer. I like the fabric. It's soft and warm, not itchy like some wool products. I like the color, ""Black Cherry Heather"".

My husband and I have matching Smartwool Thermal Marino Joggers that we bought each other a few years ago - his is green and mine is maroon color. Unfortunately the moths got to his and we were looking for a replacement. They only come in gray now but the quality and fit is the same as it has always been. He was so happy to get these for Christmas! We use these mostly for loungewear around the house vs. under clothes. The pockets are handy for carrying the phone and other things around. They are so soft and comfortable. They are pricey, but my original pair has lasted a few years now with frequent use - so if you can keep the moths away from them, they should last a good, long time. Wish Smartwool would bring more colors back soon!

Love these for lazy weekends! This is my 4th pair in as many years. The XS fits me (5'6" 125#) in a comfortably relaxed way, with a closer fit around the ankle and lower calf.
