Love the colors but fit and durability are lacking
I wanted to love these socks because I needed a new pair for working out in the gym. The color was great, the cool max moisture wicking light weight a plus. I also appreciate socks with a right and left foot designation. I ordered a size M and my shoe size is 8 women’s. When I put them on, they looked odd. The toe section is not snug and has a lot of extra fabric like they are for extra wide feet. This is definitely not what I wanted in a sock while I’m lifting. The extra fabric then bunches/ folds in the toe box of my shoe. When I took them off, I also noticed an elastic thread already coming out of the bottom of one of the socks. They’ve only been washed once.
Big toe box area, makes feet hot
I love the look of these socks...the colors and design. What I am not fond of is the cut of the socks. They are specific to right and left foot (ok I don't mind that) and the toe box is wide so my feet swim in these socks which is not ideal for causing friction. Maybe if you have feet like Fred Flintstone these would be ideal. But for my narrow feet they are not ideal. They even make my feet hot after standing for a couple of hours (not even moving in them). I can't recommend.
Happy Feet
I am now a new fan of Fox River socks! Just as described light, strong and perfect for hiking in warm weather. I like the contour arch support, mess ventilation zone and reinforced toe n heel. It is the first time I’ve ever worn a sock that was designated for a left and right foot. Super comfy!
Large toe box
I have maybe 2 dozen Fox River socks, love ‘em all. But these have such a large toe box they fold & wrinkle too much to wear comfortably. Very pretty.
