It's comfy and soft

This jacket is a medium thickness, perfect for cold but not freezing weather. The pockets and hood are a good size and the pockets have a zipper. Normally rain jackets are too thin and itchy but this jacket is double thickness and soft (really soft). It's super comfy and breathable! The quality is amazing, I'm really excited about this jacket!

Must have for Midwest sporting events

I was heading out the door to a soccer game and grabbed this raincoat on a whim after a quick look at the sky. 30 minutes later, it is pouring and rain is blowing sideways. As I sit in the stands writing this, I can say that this coat is performing beautifully. It is keeping me dry (the other fans around me are not as lucky) and I will be able to enjoy the game without being soggy and uncomfortable. It also breathes well and I am not a sweaty mess wearing it despite it being in the 80s and muggy. Well done, REI. I am a happy fan.

Awesome rain jacket!

This jacket is solid. The fabric is breathable but also keeps you dry in the rain. It moves freely, can easily be layered, and has pockets with full zippers. It will be one I wear for a long time.

Okay rain jacket, but heavy with some weird design
No, I do not recommend this product
I wanted to love this raincoat. Fit wise, it's well constructed. However, it's a pretty heavy fabric, and did not feel well ventilated despite the description that it is. The wrists are also problematically loose with the elastic; enough so that there is plenty of room for water to get up the sleeve from wet trekking poles, just raising your hands, etc. The pockets are also awkwardly placed (very high, and way to the side).
