Gerber  Edgefield Pack Sharpener

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not gonna lie. I was not impressed at first. It's kind of an awkward size to throw in a backpack for a hiking/hunting trip. Too small for the kitchen drawer. But results don't lie, it sharpens blades extremely well, including stainless. This has become my go to from the Field, to the Butcher block, or in the kitchen.

I’ve been in the market for a knife sharpener for some time, so when this Gerber Edgefield Pack Sharpener came along, I pounced on the opportunity to grab it. It’s lightweight, portable, and has three distinct edges to hone your tools against. I have primarily used it in my kitchen to sharpen my cutting knives - to great effect - but I believe this would be really useful for camping and hunting purposes. No more dull knives in this house!

Between kitchen knives basic tools, and the occasional improvised use. And honestly, it surprised me more than I expected From the very first use, feels designed for practical- minded people- not necessarily experts. I handle simple repairs around the house - nothing professional - so I really appreciate it when something works without any complications. This sharpener is compact, lightweight and easy to stash in any drawer or even carey in a backpack

It's easy to find a spot for it, and being outdoors having a knife sharpener is a must. It has a turn dial to pick from three options, coarse, fine, and ceramic which gives nice versatility. It holds in the hand fairly well, and has rubber on the bottom to help keep it flat on surfaces. It does a good job of sharpening blades, I have used it on three knives so far and they all came out sharp and ready to cut. The only minor negative is that as you run the blade on the surfaces of the stone it feels like you are cutting the edges of the plastic a bit.

Easily take it with you with a lanyard hole so you don’t have to worry about losing it. The diamond coating gets your blade very sharp and the pre measured angle help you sharpen correctly.

My husband sharpened one of his knives at home and said it worked really good. He is excited to continue to use it and even taking it hunting with him. It is light weight and will be easy to pack. Overall recommend!

I felt like it was very stable to use while I was sharpening my kitchen knives! I would highly recommend for anyone who’s knives have gone dull and then want a light user friendly tool to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this blade sharpener. It has a little spot where you can attach it to a carabiner. It sharpens knives so fast. I've never used a sharpener before and it worked amazingly for me. It does twist so you can use the really coarse side or a less coarse.
