Vans  Authentic Shoes

I've lived in Vans Authentic sneakers for years. They have been my kick around the house, run errands, walk the dog, everyday footwear… my fav part was that I could do a permanent lace then just use them as hands free slip ons. The tongues were large and firm enough that they would stay in place while slipping the shoe on. You have changed the tongue (cheaped out basically) to be smaller and flimsier so they flop down into the shoe so the shoes are not able to be used as hands free anymore. I will not be buying these anymore. I am sad. (I am aware that Vans makes a slip on- I don't like the look of them with no laces.

Like many underpaid laborers, I needed to purchase an all black, nonslip shoe for my new job. Since I stand on my feet all day, while not being allowed to sit, in a guest-driven industry, I wanted something comfortable yet stylish. More than anything, I wanted something that I could justify spending the money on. This shoe has not only met, but exceeded, those needs. With this shoe, I'm not only able to look cool while making minimum wage, but when I get to have my 30 minute unpaid break, I can keep wearing it while I skate to the nearest inexpensive food option. Vans are certified by the working class.

All I wear is vans, but recently I bought wide shoes and they were completely too big and slid off so I bought the regular authentic and still the Backing of the shoe is too big, my shoes are the same size I have previously bought and this new pair slip off when I walk. Compared to old shoes the backing is wider. I have bought many pairs and it's very upsetting I can't return due to shoes already worn. If sizing and fit is different then a warning should be noted. I have bought many pairs and never had an issue. What a waste of money. It's like maybe this pair will fit maybe not!

I bought them specifically for a trip I was taking overseas as they go with everything and that would minimize the amount of shoes I had to pack. I even went to three different malls to find them, but just after purchasing them over a month ago one of the shoes shrank! I noticed they fitted way too snug after I wore them out on a rainy day. Also, during my trip there was a lot of walking and I was constantly needing to put bandages on the back of my foot for the shoes not to rub on it. Very disappointed that I went to three different places to buy them just for them to hurt my feet during the whole trip and to not fit properly after just one month!

I've worn pretty much exclusively white authentic vans for the past five years or so and I've owned 4 pairs all the same size. These were very uncomfortable on my ankle. They dug into the tendon when walking and actually rubbed through my skin causing me to bleed on them which is not a nice look with white shoes. I would try to wear them to "break them in" but I could barely walk. After the pain and discomfort, I decided to just take a razor blade and slit the back down to the ripstop seam. This fixed the problem but I obviously shouldn't have to do this for them to fit correctly. I guess I'll have to find another brand that I like.

I was so anxious to see my shoes. As soon as it came in the mail, I loved the box! It's so cute and creative. I knew for sure that my shoes would be prettier. These shoes fits perfectly and goes with any outfit due to the multiple colors. (Color of actual shoes are a tad bit darker) I'm a big fan of disney , this made me very proud. I was sad to find that they didnt have the Aladdin shoes because my last name is Aladin . I cant wait to buy a pair for my best friend so we could match. These are stunning. Thank you!

I picked up a pair of these Van's that i've wanted for the longest time. They look great, go with just about anything with casual wear and are currently trendy. That being said, I've owned these for less than 2 months and they are already breaking down. I only wear these on the weekends, too. The insole is starting to peel and now creates friction between itself and the actual insole, which both hurts the bottom of my foot and expedites the breakdown of the insole itself. Crazy how quickly these break down.

I love these Authentic vans. They are OG and are comfortable for walking in for hours. I have 2 pairs, because lets be real, Chucks ans Vans...you need one pair and they last for YEARS!!! Ive worn mine for a day at Disney, and other functions that require lots of walking and time on your feet. People complaining should double check that they bought the appropriate size for Vans. Because in the long history of owning them ive not had any issues. Not only do i wear them, but so does my husband and two teenage sons. I refuse to pay an arm, leg, couple teeth and fingers for shoes that are uncomfortable, and only bought because of the name (Jordans, Nike etc). We are a Vans family and always will be! I recommend buying Vans socks because all others slip, bunch, or have holes in them too soon.

I am, as stated, an old bat (74). I have permanent nerve damage in my feet from a former medication, and so my balance isn't always quite on. I also walk three medium-sized dogs every day, and these dogs always want to go in at least three different directions at once, so I need the dependable flat sole, and good grip of these Van's to counterbalance nearly 80 pounds of chaos with a low centre of gravity and 12 feet! Add to that, because I am old, my feet have spread and are wider now, so a standard last is uncomfortable, but because these Van's are basically unisex, that means they are wide enough for my feet. (I don't know how men feel about the width, however.)

I've been wearing authentics for the past 15 years. just recently got another new pair and something felt different right out of the box, whatever they'll break in. flash forward to about a month and there are holes starting to from on the toe box where the foot bends this usually doesn't happen till a year in, and I usually wear out the soles before holes start to form. Also all this during a pandemic where I have not been wearing them as much as usual. Very unacceptable
