Columbia  Silver Ridge Utility II Long-Sleeve Shirt - Women's

Purchased for hiking, gardening, etc. Love the fabric - so extremely light and cool - drys quickly and washes well, but required a bit of light ironing as I like shirts to have a smooth look and this came out with a few wrinkly areas. Love the taupe color. Do not like the fit of this shirt. It hangs straight with no structure for a female body. Also a bit too long, but then I am 5’1” so I tie it at waist. Because I love the fabric I will keep and wear this, quality is good, but won’t consider buying another. Some of my previous Columbia shirts from years past do have more of a form fit without being tight or restrictive -just a better fit and look overall.

Clearly inferior to the previous Silver Ridge Lite sunshirt that doesn't seem to be available any more. This one is okay as sunshirts go, but the fabric is less breathable and the seams are poorly constructed. Compared to the previous version, seam edges are not sewn down and are prone to tickling the skin all the time, both at the back vent and at the front pocket. It's really a shame that so many companies like this one go downhill rather than continuing to make high-quality products.

This shirt did an excellent job of protecting my skin from the sun. But in humid weather, the shirt did feel like it trapped the heat. It helped to mist the shirt with water. As the shirt dried, I did feel cooler. Shirt great for vacation as it can be easily hand washed and it dries very quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a stellar shirt, well made of wonderful fabric. I love the "feel"" ( very soft) and the details, such as the mesh back. It's roomy but not baggy, very flattering. I'll turn to this shirt first on my hikes and sunny activities.

Very nicely made, it was comfortable in 90+ degree heat. Like most Columbia clothing, it runs small.
