I have the Leslie falls shorts and was excited when I saw they'd changed the waistband on the Leslie falls II as I didn't love the giant elastic waistband on the original. Apart from that, the first generation of the shorts is darn near perfect, the pockets are especially choice. But they really missed the mark on the II, the waistband change was great, but they made all of the pockets smaller except the ENORMOUS back pocket which is big enough to let my giant phone fit in there sideways....if y'all do a third iteration please, go back to the original design but just change the waist and, nothing else needed to change (they're the perfect travel shorts in my opinion).
Every pair of bottoms in my wardrobe is a size 6 or 8. Bought these in an 8 after wearing out 2 pairs of Columbia’s Anytime Outdoor shorts and noting that these are the same fabric. However, the waist in these shorts is cinched like there’s an assumption it will fall at your natural waist. In a size 8, to close the button, I had to hike them up uncomfortably far. If you have a long torso like me, either order a size up or plan to let out the waist.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a tough time finding shorts that fit me well. When I do find them, I buy them in bulk, in every color. My last favorites were Columbia (from 4-5 years ago), which I had to "retire" this year...they've seen a lot of wear, and have held up great! I recently ordered 4 different styles in a few different sizes. This style fit me the best, so I bought 5 pair. I am 5'7", 130 lbs, and 60 yo. I have long, lean legs, and a short waist. I have shorts that fit me well from size 4-8, just depends on the style. I tried size 6 in the 5" inseam, but the waist was a little snug, so I returned for size 8, which fit perfectly. I still have room in the hips, but they fit nicely and give me some shape. And my legs don't look like sticks hanging out of a barrel! ; ) This fabric has a nice, silky feel to it. Some of the others I tried were a bit stiff and "papery" feeling. I highly recommend these.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice fabric, but terrible cut. I hate high-waisted pants and these sit so high! If i wear them lower, then the crotch looks bulky. Tge material seems nice, but i had to return these shorts. PLEASE BRING BACK THE SATURDAY TRAIL LINE!!!!!
So comfortable and of excellent quality. They feel like they weremade for me. I wish they made them in tan. I vought 2 different colors!
