LOVE THIS BOTTLE!!
We put the woom glug bottle and cage on the woom off 4 and the woom 4 original, also tried it on the woom 3. Great fitting and super solid(my boys tested it out trail riding and jumping and there was no movement) This is super nice quality the cage is really sturdy its side load which works great for kids to pull it put and put in back. The bottle is single wall stainless steel and it holds 17 Oz. (Great for my busy guys that drink tons of water) The cap has like two threads so it's easy to twist on and off my boys love it. Also the cap is attached with like a little holder and a hinge so you can't lose it! Definitely a great accessory for your woom bike, we give it !
My kids love it
We have lots of water bottles at home, and replaced them as needed. But there was something magical about having a woom water bottle attached to their frame like the adults. They stopped using their other water bottles immediately. It just came with the whole Woom package of new found overcoming and growing into their own. Simple easy to use design. Kids are pleased, and so am I. We dont drink ice cold water generally, so insulation was not something I considered. I prefer the ease of use for little hands and extra water capacity.
Stylish but nothing more
The bottle looks very stylish. But that's it.It is not easy to drink from it at all. Especially for a small kid. Thanks to the material it can be easy cleaned but on the other hand it won't hold the temperature of the liquid at all. The water gets either terribly cold (in winter) or totally warm (in summer), none of them you want your kid to drink. Even the bottle itself can get pretty hot when riding long on sun. I love woom, but this was not a good purchase. For the price i was expecting that to be at least a thermo bottle.
Look the look, doesn't keep cold at all
Based on the looks of this bottle you'd think this will keep your fluids icy cold. Nope. I'll start with refrigerated water, add 6-8 ice cubes, yet within an hour (on a warm summer day), the water is luke-warm (though the bottle itself is nice and cold). On the other hand my "Polar Insulated Bottle" - which is plastic by the way - keeps my water cold for hours. It makes no sense. I'll be replacing these with options that actually keep fluids cold. Thumbs down.
Great non-insulated kids water bottle
It's lightweight and not insulated, but it's easy to open and holds a decent amount of water. My 4yo has no trouble getting the bottle off her bike, opening, drinking, closing, putting it back. It's different to drink from than most other bottles but it's VERY easy for kid hands to open and close securely without excessive fussy plastic bits. We moved it from her Woom 3 to her Woom 4 and it is still in good shape.
Not durable, not easy to use
We love all the woom bikes and accessories we've had, including the current woom 4 and the locking chain and the rack. But this accessory is not up to the same standards. It's not easy for kids hands and mouths to use, and the mechanism is easily damaged, and then recently the mouthpiece cracked off when the bottle was dropped. There are many other better options out there. Try something else!
This was a gift for my kid's birthday so he really liked it! I just wish that the side-load bottle cage has option for left or right and frame-matching color or white. overall good construction for a steel/aluminium water bottle, i wish it could have been priced more affordably. A holster or carrier to carry it off bike would have been a great add-on
Not BPA free
I purchased two of these bottles thinking it would be non toxic and safe for my kids. Turns out the plastic tops of these bottles aren't BPA free. How hard is it these days to make a water bottle for children that doesn't contain BPA? Please Woom, you can do better than this.
Nice bottle but...
Mounts underneath? Ugh. Didnt realize that. Seems like they could have made it a little smaller to fit inside the frame. Kid has to lay down the bike to get it, then wipe off the mud.
It's a water bottle.
Review title kind of says it all. It's a water bottle, not the best one I've ever had, but works. Will probably swap it out for one with insulation soon as summers in DC are hot.
