No, I do not recommend this product
The installation instructions are terrible. When I called Yakima, they even admitted over the phone that almost no-one figures them out without calling. After that, I found that one of the wheel trays was the wrong part and some of the fasteners were missing. After multiple calls to their support, Yakima's people gave up and told me to take the rack back to REI. We wanted to use the rack to take our new bikes Vail and go mountain biking the next weekend. Obviously that didn't happen, thanks Yakima. Fortunately, REI was good about taking it back. Even though I brought it back as a pile of loose parts. There was no possible way I could get it packed back in the box the way it came.

Solid rack, but mounts crooked/tilted.
Solid rack with a good compromise of capability and weight, features and cost. Mounts secure in the hitch and the locking mechanisms to secure the bikes to the rack are robust. After researching several bike racks, what drew me to this rack in particular is the locking arms are wide on the rack, which allow a good angle for locking in the front tire without the arm slipping and making contact with the fork or rim brakes. The only problem I've had is there is a very noticeable tilt to the rack when mounted in the hitch, with the left side of the rack several inches lower than the right. It doesn't affect the rack from doing its job, but I would have expected more out of a rack at this price point. Not sure if it's a bad design or a quality control issue, but the wedge locking mechanism isn't squaring the rack in the hitch.
