[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pants are very thin on the outer layer, and very easily tear. I've worn these one season, and there's already holes in the pants. Do not recommend this pet. I was so excited that Northface finally came out with a Gore-Tex pant, I am so disappointed. I've had Gore-Tex pants before, and never had this issue. They make it so hard to get it approved by warranty, you have to spend money to send it there, and then they may or may not fix it. For how expensive these pants are, I am so Sadly, disappointed.
I really wanted to love these pants as I trust North Face and especially Goretex for waterproofing, warmth and quality. I ordered two sizes and BOTH had snap waists that did NOT snap closed. It must have been flawed hardware (I don't see any other reviews complaining about this) for the waist as it was a single snap on both and consistently did not snap no matter how hard I pressed. Waist snaps must be firm enough to hold, but easy on the fingertips. The fit was fine and seemed generous but the materials crinkled a lot and it sounded like I was wearing a plastic bag when I moved. Very thin feeling like others have said. I returned them both.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like these. Based on the size guide I first ordered an xxl. (I'm a 16) They were huge. I returned those and just tried on the xl: these fit more like a L. I compared them to my freedom insulated snow pants that I also have in an xl and they are an inch smaller than those. Bummer, I really wanted to like them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These pants are amazing! Incredibly versatile and well made definitely would keep ya warm and dry!!! I live in Minnesota where it can get below 40windchill. They were just huge! Customer service was fantastic! Free shipping for returns!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these because it gets so darn cold where I live. WOW these would have been amazing if I would've gotten the right size for myself. Amazing customer service!! So easy to return! Free shipping on returns as well!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One fall and a large tear that NF says is unrepairable. They didn't last one season and they were trash. Aside from that the waist was too big and it lacks belt loops to do anything about it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The material feels extremely cheap. Only worn for 3 months and already has a rip. I can't justify spending the money if the product won't last. Recommend if worn to commute in cold weather.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these specifically because they were made of gore-tex, however the fabric isn't waterproof and wears easily. They also restrict movement. Zipper pockets broke after a few uses.
These Dawnstrike pants are warm and completely waterproof & windproof. Awesome for cold, wet days on the slopes. They fit to size, with extra room in the legs for free movement.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just the right amount of insulation for lift serve, while keeping a slim fit. I'm a tele skier and these pants flex well.
