Thoughtful design. Perfect size.

I've purchased more NF bags than any other company, I change bags every season. Water resistant, raised laptop compartment. Thoughtful layout. All with premium quality construction and materials.

Perfect for my needs!

Perfect size, well made, 3 compartments to organize everything you would need for a short trip. Fits my MacBook Pro 16" though it's a bit tight to zip it closed

Love this bag, great for daily office commute and travel

Perfect for my daily commute to work! I needed a bag smaller than my Recon, but large enough to fit a 13" macbook, daily needs (headphones, wallet, etc), and space for a water bottle. There is a padded laptop compartment, and a big open space (with some organization pockets), in addition to the front zippered pocket for small items. Two side slide-in pockets-I was worried the pockets would be too small to fit a water bottle,, but it fits a 24oz camelbak without an issue. Would love to see The North Face carry this in more colors!

In love!

Absolutely adore this backpack! The rich, warm ochre hue paired with the slightly wrinkly fabric is a lovely combination, and the fabric is waterproof too! The padded shoulder straps are very comfortable but might take a day or two to get used to, and the two inner pockets are perfect for small items. I was worried that it might be too small, but once I move my water bottle and thermos to the side pockets, I have enough room for my laptop and books. Three things that could make this bag even better: 1. Adding a strap to the back, so the bag can be securely attached to a carry on suitcase. 2. Using a fabric with the same color and texture but more stretch. 3. Either moving the two inner pockets to the inner front of the middle compartment or adding two inner pockets to the front pocket.

I would buy this AGAIN and AGAIN (in green?)

I purchased this backpack to be a straightforward canvas replacement for a model from a well-known Nordic brand. It meets EVERY EXPECTATION and then some! In fact, of the many backpacks I've owned and used throughout high school and undergrad, this is one of the most well-made. It fits a 13" MacBook Air without difficulty as well as a binder, composition notebook, planner, and iPad along with pens, highlighters, and a water bottle on the side. I could not recommend highly enough.

Berkeley Daypack's a Solid Choice

The Berkeley Daypack is a great little bag. It's lightweight and compact, which makes it perfect for class or quick trips around town. It's advertised to fit a 16-inch laptop, but my HP Omen Transcend doesn't fit in the designated laptop compartment, only in the main pouch. That's a bit of a bummer, but overall, it's still a nice pack for carrying my laptop, chargers and notebook without being too bulky.

Great Purchase!

The Berkeley Daypack is well-made with beautiful fabric. Used for travel, it easily holds my laptop, iPad and other items. It's just the right size so I don't overpack because t's important to make the journey enjoyable. Last trip, it got soiled from the dirty bins at the airport security check point. When I got home, I unzipped all pockets, placed it in a large mesh laundry bag, machine-washed with the usual laundry soap on a cold water cycle, then hung up and let it air dry. All smudges came out and it looked like new! I also purchased the Berkeley field bag to use as a purse. It's a great size and has 3 zippered sections, the back one is hidden to hold valuables. Since airlines allow only 1 carry-on and 1 personal item, the field bag easily into the main section of the Berkeley daypack -- I didn't worry about my purse being unsecured or getting lost in the overhead storage bin.

It's smaller than expected.

I'm pretty disappointed in the size of the bag. I have a 15-inch laptop and the zipper would not close, yet it says the pocket size is 16 inches. I needed a smaller bag for college and was happy with the price of this one. The material is nice and seems sturdy. The zippers are high quality. The back and straps have very minimal if any support. Overall, I guess the bag is decent.

Great backpack for everyday use.

Great backpack. It is stylish and is just the right size I looked for. It is great for general everyday usage and fits a lot of items in its compartment. However, I wish the straps could be a bit wider and padded a bit thicker. Straps feel a bit tight and pressured on my shoulders especially when I tried to slide my laptop in the backpack. Everything else is great!

Best backpack on the market for sure.

Love it. Extremely well made and feels very durable and high quality. Love the full length zips and all the pockets can fit a lot in. I was worried it was going to be too small being lower L's but fits so much because of the pockets. The laptop case is also well padded. Highly recommend. Good for everyday and small overnights.
