I really wanted to like this backpack and it's probably a good backpack for most. On the surface it seems very well made and it is for the most part but the water bottle pocket ripped day one when I was using the pull tab. The grab loop for the pocket was stitched passed the reinforcement which seems like a manufacturing defect. I like the sturdiness but it makes it weigh a little too much for daily wear in my opinion. Only other complaint is shoulder straps which is a shame because the back padding is nectar. I ended up buying the Cotopaxi Allpa Daypack and I'm much more happy with that purchase.
Wish it had a luggage strap. Excellent laptop space I can fit my iPad, laptop and 2nd monitor in the same compartment.
Not the quality I was expecting the straps and hardware look and feel cheap. The width and size of the straps and buckles does not provide confidence for long term durability. The plastic buckles are discolored and not completely black like they should be. I should have listened to the few negative reviews and purchased a different brand. Now I'm stuck with it though because the other model backpack i was looking at is now out of stock. I think I'll be shopping elsewhere from now on.
Genuinely very impressed by this backpack! I have two work laptops (+ cords, etc) I need to bring to the office and I commute by public transportation. It holds a ton and still manages to look sleek without making me look like I’m on my way to a college campus. The back padding and straps are cushioned and thoughtfully designed, and as a 5’7 woman the overall size is well suited to my back. The front pockets are big and convenient and I like that the laptop pocket is fleece lined so you don’t need a separate sleeve. My only qualm is the water bottle pockets are kind of weird and tight, but my 18oz hydroflask still fits so ultimately not a dealbreaker. I have used a Patagonia Black Hole Backpack for years, but wanted something a little more professional. After picking up many packs in store, this one felt like it was built to last and worth the price tag. I didn’t want black, and while the soapstone color is pretty it isn’t practical so taupe green was an easy choice. Looking forward to many years of use!
