HORRIBLE DESIGN!!
I am so disappointed in these shoes. These do not slip on and they are in no way adjustable. The strap is ribbon - completely non flex, with a very small velcro closure. I have a feeling that the length of the strap was not scaled up as the shoe size increases. I wear a 9.5, and I do not have a wide foot. Honestly, I could've even sized down to a 9. But once my foot was in, the strap was 2-3" too short. There would be absolutely no way to slide your foot into the tiny closure. When the strap is closed, the space between the two sides of the shoe at the top is ~1". Such a poor design, and I was so excited to wear these in spring and summer. They're much cuter than the salomon rx marie-jeanne, but at least those are adjustable!!
Comfy sole, bad bindings.
The fit of the shoe and the sole are both great. It is even comfy with my Morton's Neuroma I agree with the other reviews that mention the strap. It is not adjustable at all, it just happens to work for me so I am giving 4 stars. I have a size 8 and average width foot. There is 1 star off because the plastic attachment the strap runs through in the front of the foot digs into the side of your pinkie toe as you walk, and becomes more painful throughout the day. It is just tolerable and so I will keep them.
CUTE, COMFY, AND LIGHTWEIGHT.
I just got these in, true to size, i have a regular kind of narrower foot and i have good wiggle room. Mesh style allows for a super comfy and breathable shoe which feels nice around my toes. Planning on taking these to CDMX. I was expecting more cushion support, but no complains to how they feel with support and traction. Only concern is the lack of stretch in the top part, but I have no issues with the feel, plus its very lightweight and I just adjusted it with the Velcro length.
Good Support, but Strap needs to be 1/2” longer
I love everything about this shoe except for the short strap. Merrell needs to extend the strap by 1/2” ands mail out strap extenders to those of us who already have the shoe. Other than this design oversight, the shoes themselves have decent foot support (I use a slim 3/4 insert because of high arches) and a decent toes box. My wide foot fits into the toes box even with thin wool socks.
Strap to short
The shoe part fit perfectly, but when I went to secure the strap it didn't even make it to the other side of the shoe. So I wasn't able to secure it. I had to send them back.
