In my experience, Pearl Izumi stuff tends to run small. I have fairly small hands and have taken a large in some of their gel gloves. These seemed to be an OK fit in a Medium. However, on the drop bar bike I just got, I seem to be sensitive to gloves with any seams in the thumb web space and gel gloves have been giving me issues so I got these. These even felt like they were putting a bit too much pressure there (I'm working on bike fit).
I bought these as lightweight summer gloves. Only worn them once so far, but they were nice and cool. The material is flexible so they move and fit well.
