Unusually Short Torso
I did not feel like it was clear in the description and size chart that the torso of the jacket would be so short. I wear everything in a medium, but this jacket in a medium has arms that are 5-6 inches longer than the torso and the waistband sat at the top of my belt so this fit more like a crop top than a traditional jacket. Maybe that's the "retro" look, but the proportions are much different than the photos show. Otherwise would've been a soft, comfortable jacket, but will be returning.
Love it! 5 stars
I bought this initially became it was on a great sale but couldn't be happier with it. It seems a little thicker than most of my sinilar Patagonia fleeces and the belly pockets are definitely handy. The collar also stays up even without it being fully zipped, which is great when wearing it as a mid-layer. Size is roomy but not overly bulky (I'm 5' 11" and 220, and large fits great.) The orange is pretty bright but not at all obnoxiously so...
Nice 90's style fleece for a good price
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice heavy-weight pile-fleece pullover. It brings me back to driving up the ski hill in my dad's Izuzu trooper jamming out to Pearl Jam on CD, has the 90's vibe. The cut works and I'm a shorter guy who appreciates the short cut at the waist. I'm 5,8 and the medium fit perfect while still being roomy for layering and baggy for the right look. The collar is a bit taller than I'd like, but also provides good neck covering for when the cold wind picks up. All and all I like the fleece and would recommend.
Haven't Washed Yet but Great Quality Fleece
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven't washed this yet so take it with a grain of salt but it's a great qualify fabric material that is soft, doesn't smell, and doesn't shed tiny plastic fibres. The oversized fit is very fun. The color is slightly darker than the photo; the photo is more pastel with white tones but this is a very vibrant blue with warm purple and red tones. The red-orange is also more red than the photo. I have a Patagonia retro pile fleece, kangaroo style, and this one is softer. I think it's too expensive for a fleece but at the price I found it (still very expensive!) I'll keep it. I like that the fabric is BlueSign certified. Makes me feel like I'm at a tahoe ski resort in the 90s. I'm normally a men's XS or XXS and I think the S is a very very oversized look and I like it. The collar pops well.
A Design Failure and Disappointing Marmot Fleece.
Having owned and enjoyed a wide range of Marmot products, this fleece is quite disappointing. I did not realize that the jacket is a pullover. There is no disclosure whatsoever on the website that this is a “pullover” garment and not a conventional full zip jacket. It is awkward to put on and does not layer well. It has a disfunctional elastic band, producing a balloon like shape. This fleece is a complete design failure.
Finally! A great retro fit fleece.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great fit, loose enough to allow layering. I've been looking to replace my favorite fleece purchased 25 years ago and I finally found it. All other famous brand fleece pull-overs I've tried have been sized for a tight for especially through the arms and shoulders. I recently travelled through Spain and France and found this to be my outer layer of choice: warm, wind-resistant and comfortable.
Retro tech!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My older son does not like technical looking gear. He’s an old soul who prefers the retro style. So it’s hard to find gifts for him. Scrolling through marmots jackets I saw this and thought it might fit the bill. Sure enough he loved it. Especially when he’s moping 15 feet behind us walking around town on vacation.
Men's 94 ECO Recycled Fleece
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Marmot has great quality products like these Fleece,,which is recycled by products,,not wasted old items,,giving new life to something that may have caused more damage to the Earth years from now.
Baggie, warm, short… just my style
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very warm, lightweight. The cut is what i expected / wanted. The bottom rests just below the belt-line, but doesn't expose your mid-drift. The sleeves are long enough. The mid-drift is baggie
