Scala  Skyebar Cotton Outback Hat

I've always needed the largest available size in hats, so was surprised to find this size XL hat a bit loose on arrival. I've reordered the next size down (size L), and when it arrives will keep whichever fits best and return the other. I'm impressed by how much this cotton hat looks like a leather one. My wife approves its look on me, and it will certainly protect my head from unwanted sun. I'm not seeing any care instructions, but am guessing that putting it through a machine wash and dry to shrink it would probably not be a good idea.

I've been looking for a sun hat to wear on a daily basis, whether out hiking or just running around town. I live in the desert and have already had issues with sun damage so hat wearing is the new normal. I will admit to being picky, particularly since I've never been much of a hat wearer in the past and am only doing it now out of need. So from that perspective I will say that this is a pretty nice hat. Excellent construction, lightweight with a malleable brim, and a cool look, at least as far sun hats go. My only issue is with sizing. I'm a big guy and started with an XL. Way too big! Then ordered the L and the sizing is great. But this is a minor issue to get the hat that's perfect for me. Very satisfied.
