Roomy in the legs, appropriate for the office.
These are pretty solid business casual pants. The inseam gusset really helps if you have any job where you have to move around frequently or squat down. This is especially true if you don't skip leg day since the calf, thigh, and seat of these pants is sized generously and the material has the same stretch and give as other pants in the lineup. The sizing is inconsistent compared to other Prana pants in the same size, at least in my case. I purchased 38/30 (black) and they seem closer to 40/30 in my older Prana stretch Zion pants. I will likely be a repeat purchaser in the next size down if these go on sale.
Nice looking pants; tired of feel-good sizing
The pants look and feel great. Was debating between the slim fit and these and that slim fit were a little too tight in the legs and butt. My actual waist is a 31, and I ordered the pants in a 30. Unfortunately, as soon as I put a phone or wallet in one of the pockets, they won't stay up without a belt (and I have a round butt!), which partly defeats the purpose with stretchy casual pants like these. Someone with a small butt and a 34 waist could fit into these. I wish I could trust the waist sizing, and I do not get a self-esteem boost by wearing a 30 when I should probably be in something larger.
Inconsistent Waist Sizing
I've been buying and wearing Prana pants for over 10 yrs now. These are almost identical to my fav Brion slim pants which have been discontinued. I like how the new material is softer and more stretchy. Sadly, the waist sizing is not consistent. I've always bought size 32 waist. This last purchase, I bought 3 pair of these in different colors. One fit fine and other two I had to exchange for a larger size. I had a similar experience a couple years ago with the Hybridizer shorts. I love Prana, but am more hesitant to buy now based on these inconsistencies and the time spent finding the right size.
Most "Meh" pant ever
Ordered a size 33x34 (which is my ideal size and hard to find). No complaints on the sizing. But they are a very straight fit, I wish they sold an athletic tapered fit cause that would make things a little better. However, after wearing the pant once, the back pocket's stitching is already coming out, they are lightweight, but hold no structure and back pockets are small. After reading so many positive reviews on the prana pants over the years, thought I would give them a try, but definitely a little disappointed and would not recommend for the price point, much better options out there.
Minimalist
New customer to Prana and I like these pants a lot. That being said the only thing I would change is just having front pockets. Not going to name the other brand but their climbing pants was great for normal day wear along with climbing. As a more mature person I don’t need all the pockets. I only carry my money clip and key fab. I think this would clean up the design and also allow it to be a all around pants.
Good pants, bad fabric
Once again, the fabric has changed for the worse. The original Zion was perfect. The second version, ReZion, was comfortable, but it didn't last at all. This one, the Zion 2, looks bad. The fabric is shiny and isn't even truly black. On top of that, it doesn't breathe at all. It's too hot to wear, even in the shade on a cool day.
Greatest pant ever
Got this to replace the old Brion pant, which was my standby for SAR work, climbing, hiking, academic conferences, and all around everyday life. I was such a big fan of that pant that I got nervous when it was retired, but this is an even better replacement. It's the perfect pant for adventures and day to day life.
Pants I was hoping for
5’ 8” / 162 and 32-30 is great fit. Not baggy in the butt like so many clothes these days. Lays on the shoes nicely. This is a great pair of pants. I bought 2 colors and will probably a 3rd. Super lightweight and comfortable. Wear to the office, traveling and to nice restaurants.
Consistently Good
I purchase 1 or 2 pair of these for my husband over the past few years. They consistently fit, look nice, and are his go-to for travel and dress-down office days. The look worn after a couple years of hard wear. Please keep making them and adding new colors.
Mislabeled size
Ordered 34x34. Pants were labeled correctly but the size was more like 34x32. I think they got mislabeled because I order (2) colors, same size and this one was much shorter than the other pair that were correct. No problem. Just returned them.
