Burley  Ski Kit

What an awesome piece of gear! I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because it’s so hard to snap the frame into place after collapsing it for transport to the trails. I can’t usually do it by myself, especially if cold. Expensive too, I also had to buy the infant insert so while we love using it, it was a huge investment.

Our puppy is too young to walk the full distance for our daily walks or cross-country ski on the weekends. We bought the Burley so he could still join us on our adventures and it works great! It’s super easy to load him up and he loves being included. It’s easy to switch between the wheels for walks and the skis. We’re very happy with this purchase.

Fantastic! Works great in any snow that you can reasonably XC or skate ski on. Pulling feels pretty light even when loaded with a 30lb toddler, water, and spare ice skates. Skis are smooth and don’t stick. Relatively easy to manage downhills. When ice skating, I try to preserve the skis and use the standard wheels with the ski kit body strap. That works great! Comfort tip: Make sure the pin clasps that attach the poles to the waistband point up, otherwise they may dig into hips or unclasp. While the burley itself doesn’t fold down easily, I really love how fast and easy it is to rearrange attachments depending on activity and conditions. Super quick set up! Best addition for winter by far. Loads of fun!

Super fun add on for our family. I’ve been skate skiing with it on groomed trails and it’s been a blast. The options on the bars to extend to lengths make it so that I don’t ever hit my poles or skis on the trailer! I’m excited to continue to use it through the winter! It’s great hill training and will be a good investment for our family to keep everyone involved. Like the trailer, the quality is high. It all folds down and can be carried in one load with the trailer.

We received a Burley Encore for Christmas and purchased the Ski Kit shortly thereafter to use with our (then-9-month-old) son this winter. It is such a blast! The kit is easy to attach to the trailer and our son stayed nice and warm inside. In fact, every time we used it, he fell asleep INSTANTLY -- I think the white noise from the skis on the snow helped, as did the rhythmic motion! It was quite easy to pull, as well (though, as to be expected, hills are more challenging). We even took this kit out onto a lake while we were ice skating! Overall, this was such an amazing investment that really allowed us to share our love of winter with our little man. I highly recommend it and can't wait to use it again next winter!

I'm very happy I got this ski kit! I've been wanting this for a long time, but wasn't sure if it would fit on my current bike trailer. Although I wasn't able to get it hooked up to my current bike trailer, my local bike store had a used Tail Wagon. Even though this model isn't supposed to work with the ski kit, my bike mechanic was able to make some modifications so that it works perfectly! It's so easy to pull with my XC skis. My dog loves it, and gets lots of compliments! I am so happy with how well it functions. Thank you so much!

I have never used a pulk before, but having already the Burley D'lite X for my two kids (2, 5), I wanted to go back country snow shoeing, but to go out for an extended amount of time. I honestly couldn't tell if my pack (~10 lbs) or the burley ski kit was heavier, they both felt light to me combined. I went through some soft powder, to crusty/icy snow top, and the Burley pulled right through. It was alot of fun!

Bought this kit back in December as our family Christmas gift and we were super excited for it but our first time using it one of the skis broke. We have a 3 yr old and 6 month old that we were pulling so not a lot of weight at all. It did well on super packed snow/ice but as soon as we put our snowshoes on and the trail wasn’t completely smooth, they did not hold up. A little bummed to say the least.

Fantastic addition to the gear quiver, this accessory is very easy to install, high quality, and really fun to use for the winter adventures! Primarily using this on packed snow, but even worked when messing around at the base of a ski resort with variable snow coverage and depths. Smooth ride for everyone and lots of smiles along the way. Highly recommend.
