No insoles
This shoe does not have removable insoles so normal wear and tear can lead to a hole in the heel of the footbed like it did with mine. Unfortunately there’s no insole to simply replace. REI customer service couldn’t help me exchange or credit for a different pair as I wasn’t a member and this problem showed up 7 months into wearing the shoes. I’m an expat living in the US on a work assignment and wasn’t aware of the coop fee/extended return period when I originally purchased these and there was nothing they could do to help me. I’m very disappointed in the customer service provided and how REI chooses to stand behind the products they sell.
Truly Barefeet!
Nicely made but not for me. Zero support and minimal padding. Great if you want a barefoot experience and that’s the point of these shoes. I returned them with no issues from REI.
