- This 3-sided utility stake is the same one we've used in our backpacking tents for over a decade
- Made of anodized 7075 T6 aluminum for great holding power at a low weight (just 11 grams—less than half an ounce!)
- Attached 3 mm cord loop with reflective highlights makes it easier to remove stake from the ground

Durable, useful, and great upgrade
I never thought a tent peg would make a difference. To me they were just standard items that served a basic job. Kind of like a nail or a screw, just use whatever I had available to get job done. After using the REI Backpacking Tent Stake, I know understand the importance of a quality tent stake. The tent stake held my tent in place during high winds, downpour that flooded the ground, and dry conditions. The tent stake held better than standard tent peg when winds were howling and was easy to hammer in the ground regardless of condition of the dirt. The tent stake is straight, lightweight, and durable. It is easy to store, carry, and stake to the ground. Nothing against a standard tent peg and I’m sure they’ll work fine. But the REI Tent Stake is a much more desirable tool. It is easy to carry, store, and use. I recommend this upgrade to all campers or people using canopy tents. Way better than the old ways.
Perfect lil guy for the job!
Straightforward but handy offering! If you lose a stake and need a replacement, or something to reinforce for particularly windy conditions / heavy equipment, this is the perfect little option to pick up. I can't think of any reason it wouldn't work as a replacement / sub for any other tent stake. As someone who often picks things up second hand - having a solid option for a backup / replacement is handy!
