How the size runs depends on the fit you are expecting
I personally love these beanies. (1) They do not press too tightly against the ears of you are wearing ear pods. That's a big deal comfort-wise. (2) This is also great if you wear glasses or some other eye protection: The beanie just rolls around the temples and creates a nice seal without putting pressure on the head. Brilliant! (3) You can pull the 'excess' back and it just rolls to the back of the head and has a cool hipster vibe to it. Is hipster the right word? Hmm. (4) It is warm, but it ventilates a little bit too. (5) This is my go-to winter beanie hat. (6) I am probably going to stock up on a few of these just in case the negative reviews turn into a redesign. These are my go-to for any chilly weather. I think these beanies are brilliant.
Far too big
I loved the material and features but the hat is comically large on me. I could not wear it normally without having a huge pouch at the top or pulling it almost all the way down my face. It is not one size fits all.
Like the designs and material, just way too Big! It covered my eyes. Had to make it smaller to fit. It would be nice to have small size, I will buy again. Thanks!
Nice and warm!
I’m bald and needed something to keep my head abd ears warm on my winter walks. This beanie did the trick!
Kept my head nice and warm and stayed down over my ears!
Current Beanie Style is NOT OSFA!
New thermal beanie is stretching the idea of OSFA (one size fits all.) The new style with harder ring of elastic material around the outside edge makes the beanie feel like I've put a rubber band around my head while wearing the beanie. If it was that important to me, I'd use a staple-gun to affix a beanie to my head... It wouldn't feel any worse to do so as compared to the rubber band sewn into this newer style. At best this latest style ought to be called S-M size. Definitely not Large. Returning both beanies I just received. Bummer.
Best running beanie
This is my new go-to beanie. I've tried numerous beanies to help with running in the cold, and they were all either too heavy, too small (despite being one size fits all), or they wouldn't stay in place. This beanie was perfect as it covered my entire ears and I was still even able to wear my earphones underneath without being uncomfortable. The material is also amazing as it keeps me warm while being lightweight. It does run a bit big but I honestly don't mind that at all.
Nice Ear Covering Beanie
Was looking for something that came down and covered my ear lobes on those cold runs. This one has ample room to pull down and do the job and has a semi-snug fit to help hold my ear buds in place too. Have run with it in 28 degrees, and it does the job to keep my head warm, but wish it was a bit heavier for those colder runs. Love it and would give 5 stars if it was a little heavier thickness.
The thermal beanie definitely keeps my head warm and ears warm which was the reason I purchased. I enjoy the lightweight feel of it and the look. My only critique would be when you put it on and want to cover your ears and pull it down, it can cover your eyes so you just need to fold up the edge in the front. Not enough of an issue to not use though! I would recommend.
Impressive Breathability
I love this Notch ThermIal Beanie. It is perfect for cold runs. I used to use a merino wool beanie but 6 or 7 miles in it would be burning me out. My scalp would need to breathe with it. Not with this Notch Thermal Beanie. It breathes nice. It keeps you warm but doesn't just lock in the heat building up as you run.
