Brooks  Lightweight Packable Hat

Someday I hope to find a hat that is shallower crown and fits my smaller than average head. This is closer than many. I’ve searched far and wide. But still this interferes with my ears. Occasionally I’ll pull the hat over my ears, but I hope eventually a company will make a quality hat in smaller sizes. I’ve tried youth sizes, but the quality options are limited. This hat is lightweight, soft, comfortable, and convenient, just too big for me. It is also breathable, although with perforations or laser cutting, it could be even more so.

This is a great lightweight running hat. NOTE: it has elastic around the crown rather than Velcro or a buckle and therefore is not adjustable. I wear a 21 1/4" hat -- generally a size Medium -- and it fits me perfectly. A very large head might find it too tight. I love that the brim is rather soft so you can collapse it in your pocket without having to worry about snapping the brim and damaging the hat.

This hat was a free gift with a purchase above a certain amount. I travel quite a bit for work and run outdoors exclusively. I was excited for the packability of the hat, but it is a bit cartoonish in nature. While soft and foldable, it looks and feels like something you might put on a toddler. I may give it a try on one of these upcoming trips. Hopefully it repels water well.

It was free, but why bother Sending something for free that is cheap and doesn’t work for a female runner who has long hair and needs to pull the ponytail through the hat. I love Brooks running shoes since I was a teenager and expect high quality at all times. Please don’t sell this hat cheapens your brand.

The person in my family this fit the best was my two year old niece. It was even a little tight on my 4 year old nephew. Definitely didn't fit any adult in my family and we never have issues with standard adult one-size fits all items working for us. Happy it was a free add-on to a purchase instead of something I purchased outright.

Never owned a running hat before, but this one is just about perfect. It’s stretchy, breathable, keeps my hair out of my face, and looks good on my head. I don’t really make use of its packability, but the bill has enough structure that it doesn’t lose its shape when you’re on the go.

Perfect unstructured hat. It's a nice mix of soft while still having a bit of structure to the "bill" and "headband". Packs pretty tight (about the size of a phone), which is really nice for traveling / on the go. Good for runs and for casual house/errands hat. I bought two.

The brim does not hold a curve but I do not know how you can make a packable hat hold a brim and still collapse into its own pocket? It does a great job and I will be running with this till it snows here!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hat worked good to keep the sun out of my eyes and it is definitely breathable BUT it’s super tight on my head and left a deep line around my head (across my forehead) for about 2 hours after a 1 hour run. It doesn’t look good on because it’s more of a child’s size hat.

Perfect lightweight hat. When I first received it, I was skeptical of the soft (not rigid) brim, but it keeps it's shape, and worked great for my recent 24hr event. Hats usually give me half a headache, but this one is so light and comfortable I almost forgot it was there!
