La Sportiva  Nomad Duffel 70 L

I got this duffel bag a couple of weeks ago, and I've been using it all the time. As a climber, I'm always moving gear around, so it's been perfect for trips to the gym, the laundromat, and weekend adventures. I also can't wait to take it on my next expedition. It's comfortable to carry as a backpack, the material feels durable without feeling plasticky, and it folds down easily when I'm not using it. It has a strap that wraps around the bag, and I'm still not sure what it's for. Other than that, I love it,I need two more! Ha ha…

The heavy-duty fabric feels tough enough to handle rough airport baggage belts or dusty trailheads, and the backpack straps keep the heavy weight balanced on my shoulders without digging in. I brought this on a recent fall trip where I needed lots of bulky clothes and shoes, and I was able to fit them all with no issue. And I’m not a light packer! I would describe the design of this bag as “no fluff," and there’s lots of usable space for your stuff. Some bags have way too many pockets, which eat up valuable space. This duffle from La Sportiva is fairly minimalist and very functional. I appreciate that this bag has a water repellent finish, so my items won’t get wet if it’s raining on the tarmac or in transit. I’ve learned the hard way that that’s a travel essential! The backpack straps are comfortable, although they can be a bit difficult to clip and unclip. However, I appreciate that they are small, and stow away without taking up a huge amount of room in the bag. I’ve had bags from other brands where the backpack straps are MASSIVE and they really eat up your storage space when they aren’t in use.

Optional backpack straps so you can carry it on your back or by hand. The side pockets are nice for organization and I LOVE the interior mesh pockets. The Yellow/Black colorway is great for spotting on an airport conveyor belt! Quickly has become my go-to for travel.
