Osprey  Daylite Large Tote

I picked this back up before a recent 5-day canoe trip in BWCA. It had to have pack steps and hold a pretty large fly box (10x12x4) plus all the other assorted items in the boat during portages (water bottle, coffee mug, folding net, odds/ends. The wet compartment on bottom mostly kept the main compartment out of the floor puddle so it worked pretty well for the purpose. A water resistant version would be even better for that purpose. I will say the pack strap clip springs are really strong and make disconnecting straps annoying. Not sure why Fastex buckles would not have worked.

I wanted to love this bag. I was looking for something bigger for sports events and beach days that also had internal organization. This bag met those marks but it was just too hard to find items in the interior pockets when I had other items in the "main compartment" - maybe the zipper makes the top opening too small? It is also unbalanced, so it falls over and does not stay upright when empty or full. The bottom shoe compartment is nice in theory but something about where the zipper is positioned makes it difficult to access. Sadly I am returning it.

I have to carry a lot of heavy items for outreach work in schools. This provides the perfect combination between a comfortable rucksack for travel, and a grab-and-go tote bag as I move around the schools etc. It's large enough to hold all my work items without damaging them, and my laptop is secure in the laptop pocket. I love the outside bottle pockets which hold water bottles snugly and keep them completely separated from anything that could get damaged if there's a leak. If it had a key loop, it would be perfect! I wish I'd discovered this bag sooner.

I ordered this bag as a travel tote and I end up using it way more than I anticipated. It holds so much and has many pockets. I love that I can change it from tote to backpack quickly and easily. The separate compartment at the bottom has kept dirty and wet things separate from everything else. And the big top opening keeps everything accessible. It has fit under airplane seats just fine. The color combo is fun and I’ve gotten so many compliments on it. I am so glad I went out on a limb and pre ordered it without waiting for reviews.

I travelled to Europe with this bag and it met all my needs. It fit under the seat in the airplane easily, wears nicely either on my back, shoulder or the handle of my suitcase. Was perfect for day outings to grab groceries or holding items from shopping. This bag will replace my overnight/weekend trip bag due to the 25L size (when I don't need the room of a suitcase) - it holds everything you could possibly need. 10/10

Love this backpack, probably my favourite purchase of the year! Very comfortable as I have a short torso and have a lot to carry for university as a medical student (laptop, change of clothes for placements/part time work, stethoscope, lunch etc). Great for food shops. Used on a few 1 night trips and there's plenty of space. Also great for day hikes when sharing with 2 people's provisions, slightly large for 1 person.

Motherhood is all about schlepping, whether things or people. This bag makes it easier! I use this as a gym/book bag combo for myself; depending on how long we'll be out for the day, it can also hold my child's items. When I need the full diaper bag, I throw this pack into tote mode and I'm good to go.

Really pleased with the bag. Great hybrid rucksack/tote. My only concern is the small straps for the backpack element- they dont seem very wide for the amount of weight the bag can carry. Nothing has happened so I may be worried for no reason I am just conscious I don’t want to add too much weight

Spacy, very compact according to how you use it. I usually bring it to trainings on my back and a support luggage with on my shoulder. Very good that you can convert it. I like the shoe holder on the bottom, conveniently fit a pair of shoes of 44 size. Enough pockets to store your stuff.
