Wish it were more adjustable
I’ve been thinking about how I need a little catch all bag up front for easy access to my phone, keys, and a drink. I was excited to receive this little bag, thinking it could be the answer to that need. I have an Aventon Abound, which has a pretty unique handlebar setup that I think isn’t quite compatible with the instructions provided. Attached it where I could. The Abound’s computer impedes full opening; so, I don’t think I’ll be able to fit a bevvy here unless I flip it around to the front. It was also a bit of a tight stretch getting the loops to fully clear and wrap. That said, great idea for quick, easy access. Would be nice for the loops to be adjustable (ability to adjust the spacing width and longer Velcro straps to accommodate the girth of the bars).
Roomy stem bag, good value
This stem bag attached to my bicycle quickly/easily, and did not swing or sway at all during trail riding when I used all three points of attachment. One handed operation was smooth and easy, even while riding. It has loads of room for whatever you need it to carry. It had no trouble holding my windbreaker jacket, 29x2.3” spare tube, two tire levers, and a large bicycle multitool. Perfect bag for an extra layer, phone/charger, snacks, tools, or extra water—with a significantly better price than most.
Nice little storage device for daily trips!
Got this nice little bike storage pack to hold anything from water containers to snacks and phones etc. it fits right on your bikes handlebars and stem securely and is the perfect fit. Keeps your stuff secure and dry and it will be easy to use on other bikes that you own since it’s easy to take off and put back on in a few minutes. I recently received this product as an REI trailblazer product promotion.
Useful
This has been pretty useful on my bike to hold my water bottle or phone, keys, wallet, and snacks. Quick access and easy to open. I like the nylon webs on the side so I can clip my pocket knife on it or anything else like a small flash light. It’s nothing fancy, and doesn’t look fancy either. Taking this on long gravel rides with the boys and it frees up my pockets. I like It.
KEEP IT SIMPLE
I received this product for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review The Junction Stem Bag was a bit confusing to install at first. I think photos instead of drawings would help. I realized I had been trying to install it on the wrong side of my handlebars! Once properly fitted it is nice and rigid, stays in place and not floppy at all like some handlebar bags. The three points of connection are super. I am 5’ tall and use a small road bike with almost no stem. This bag could not be fitted on my road bike but my mountain bike has a different geometry and it fits that bike just fine which was where I had planned to use this bag anyway. So consider the size of your bike before buying this. I ride a gravel road and path through the woods to get to my local gym. I don’t want to load up a backpack with what I need to change a flat and lock my bike. Since I have a water cage, I could fit everything else I needed inside (see photo) which surprised me. Although my ride was bumpy, the tight cinch closure kept my stuff secure. It was easy to use one hand to open the bag while riding. This bag is not meant to be waterproof but I wish the rainflap had velcro tabs to keep it staying directly over the small opening left after cinching just to insure keeping out a light rain. I used a bread bag clip (photo) to keep this flap in place It’s a simple and handy piece of equipment.
Love the convenient storage
I am using this bag on my Cannondale Gravel bike, mostly for local on-road or dirt road rides. Love the readily available storage for snacks, batteries, glasses and my wallet. Just rode to pick up a car from the shop and the extra space for paperwork worked excellent. Was not sweaty like when in my jersey pocket. I was worried that I would hit with my knee, but was easy to avoid on the punchy climbs. Love it and will keep on bike year round
Versatile and Stable
I've been putting the Junction Stem Bag to use on my crossover bike. This week I was Zwifting (indoor trainer), and I'm impressed with how well designed the bag is. The standout feature is how it mounts behind the handlebars and gains rigidity by connecting to the bike stem post. It stays put and doesn't flop around like other handlebar bags I've used. The three attachment positions also gave me the flexibility to route it around my brake lines without any hassle. It's both roomy and versatile. Snacks, phone, or water bottles, it can hold it all. Even a full Nalgene, with no issue. The drawstring closure is easy to operate with one hand, even mid-ride. You can cinch the top fully closed when you need to keep things more secure. This bag would also be a great option for kids. The one-handed operation is simple and the closure is easy to manage. Solid piece of kit for anyone looking for accessible storage on a bike.
