DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS GLOVES - POOR QUALITY
I used this gloves for snowboarding on a resort (not taken to the streets or anything harsh), and just by the friction sometimes with the snow, they got destroyed. Besides, in warmth weather, they got wet inside and the just ink your hands by a strong black color pretty difficult to wash out later. Arcteryx is just an overpriced fashion brand with nothing to do with outdoor sport more than walking in the city.
Great glove for hard work that requires dexterity
I’m the human half of a wilderness search and rescue K9 team. In training and on searches, we need gloves that will keep us warm and dry while preserving the tactile dexterity we require to handle a long lead through which we communicate with our dogs. The constant rubbing of the lead sliding through our hands also demands a lot of durability. After trying many different kinds of gloves, I have finally found the one that does it all. This rope glove excels at all attributes I mentioned above. Insert a liner inside and you will stay comfortable at even colder temperatures. This glove is an investment.
Good dexterity, poor quality
Bought them last winter for some technical ski mountaineering. They definitely provide great dexterity but that is about it. They do get wet pretty quickly. i am not sure if that is from sweat or from snow. Once they get wet just slightly, they colour my hands . Leather on the fingers is not very durable.
Great gloves
I’ll just bought this gloves for climbing/rope access nice protection
Best rope gloves I've used
I use this gloves for mountaineering, rope rescue, rope access and tactical rope work. Hands down best gloves I've ever worn. Nice snug fit, very supple and no lack of dexterity, and amazingly hard wearing. The elastic cords that come with them I've thrown out, but other than that, work perfectly, plus the gauntlet cuffs don't inadvertantly push the buttons on my watch like other kinds of gloves with velcro fasteners around the cuff. Great product, 13/10 would recommend!
Amazeballs
I had a pair for 2-3 years as an uphill glove for ski touring. Good grip, wind and snow protection, dexterity and durability. They wore off after 2-3 seasons of extensive use and I just got a second pair to replace them. I wear thin wool liners under every glove all the time and a bulky watch. So I really like the soft and wide gauntlet that can be word over or under the cuff and that there is no velcro. Velcro is evil!
Poor fit, poor materials
As a women who wears size small gloves, I ordered a "unisex" XS. The fingers are way too long for practical/professional use guiding. The gloves are a shell, with no brushing/lining, so if these do fit you I would suggest buying the thin merino liner to make these feel nice on your hands. Bottom line, dexterity was terrible and the material felt scratchy. Returning. Please make gloves for women guides!
These are good
I bought these as a protective shell to use over glove liners for great dexterity. The sizing is spot on and even with the intentional oversize I’m impressed with articulation. Quality and materials are outstanding and I’m looking forward to pairing with heated liner for the ultimate glove system.
Good Glove
It has good dexterity for rope work and no insulation. I do not like the long cuff. I prefer long cuffs on warmer gloves. A shorter cuff would make this glove easier to take off and put on--which I find very helpful with rope work activities.
Great gloves
I’m probably between a M and L, I bought the L and they fit a bit loose. Superb quality material, nice long under the cuff design with wrist strap. Should work perfectly for my SAR work.
