It’s the fit

This is my second HH rain jacket. Why 2? One rain jacket is lined and my latest purchase isn’t lined. I live in Texas where the climate is mild mostly year round. Also, Helly Hansen fit is an excellent match for my physique.

Almost perfect

Does it repel water? Yes. Does it keep you dry? Yes. Does it do everything a rain jacket should? Yes. Is it perfect? No. Unfortunately, the inner sleeve lining is too bulky, and when you put the jacket on, the inner sleeve liner rolls out, and down your wrists like a prolapsed, well you know what! Gotta shove that liner back up inside and then all is good. For the price I paid, I'll deal with it.

Rain jacket

Although I have rating 5* it is a bit premature to say much as I have not yet worn it in the rain. I am 6’ tall, 205 lbs and purchased the L size based on the recommendations of the size chart. Fits perfectly. Based on the reviews I read and how many HH jackets I saw people wearing when on a trip recently where rain was in the forecast, I am fully confident it will meet my needs.
