I intellectually understand about how large the 16L bag should be, but I’m impressed with how big it is. I could easily carry it for a weekend with winter clothes and have it hold everything comfortably. I won’t lie, I was hoping for a bit darker on my colors, but they work well together and I do like the combination and the overall effect- I’d absolutely get a mystery limited color drop bag again. The straps are somewhat thin, so I don’t think I’d carry anything too heavy. The internal seams aren’t all encased either, so there were some loose threads from where fabric was cut- not damage, just a bit unfinished looking, which is why 4 stars. Folds up great, can’t wait to use it next month on a trip.
I've been looking around for a smallish backpack/daypack that has an internal section to house my passport and important travel documents securely when traveling overseas, and this fits the bill!! The way the internal zippered mesh pocket overlaps the slip pocket gives me the peace of mind that items won't fall out from the slip pocket easily, while I can access them easily when needing to show appropriate agents. Plenty of room to pack with snacks, purse, jacket, etc. Previously travelled with the Luzon 18L and felt this was a great upgrade! I chose the cool option and love the colorway that came.
Totally love it!! Perfect size with every convenient compartment even for daily use and the bonus of sleeve for waterbottle. iPad in side pocket. Same conveniences as a large backpack but made compact enough smaller for daily use.
Love my new bag! Slightly addicted to Cotopaxi and their bags, but this one is top favorite. Its super lightweight and can be rolled, which I really appreciate for travel versatility. Plenty of pockets and zippered compartments. Material is also weather resistant. I lovvve that each zipper, lining and backpack clip is a different color.
As this is my third pack that I have bought in the last year from Cotopaxi this pack does not disappoint just like the others! I love how I can stick my Kapai in the new Batac and go or stick my Batac in my Allpa 35 for long trips. Since it can pack down it does not have any structure in the back panel but I have found no issue with that because if my computer or my hydro pack is in the back panel it provides plenty of structure. I also like how the computer pocket does not go to the bottom of the bag so that if my bag is dropped my computer doesn’t break or my reservoir popped. The chest clip I have also found to be super great at keeping the bag snug to my back and the weight then distributed. It surprisingly fits a lot for its size. I love the blue colors because that’s my favorite and the color combination was well done!
I couldn’t decide what color scheme I like more, so I got both the Warm and Cool limited color drops. I was leaning more towards the warm because I live in a desert environment and love the representation of the colors of it. However, I was hesitant. I have to say that after I got both backpacks I immediately fell in love with the Warm color scheme. Trust your gut and go for it!
I originally got this to be my daypack when I go on an international trip in 2026. With that said, I have been using it all the time recently. I just had a knee replacement and am using a walker for a few weeks, so I put all sorts of things in this pack at the moment. Need to take my lunch into the other room but can’t carry it because of the walker? No problem, toss it in a container with a lid, put it in the backpack, and take lunch to the table. Bringing in the mail, no problem. Taking some laundry to the laundry room? Done.
I’m loving my 16L Del Dia limited color Batac backpack! While on a recent trip to NYC this summer, I realized I needed a smaller, packable backpack for roaming the city. This is the perfect bag for that purpose. It packs down, so you can take it with you. I’m currently using it for my everyday errands. I’m able to easily carry my wallet, sweatshirt, water bottle, keys, cellphone, glasses, and still have room to add more items. I’m loving the black color! I love that the bold colors on it in strategic spots really pop against the black. The reason it isn’t a 5 star review is that the water bottle mesh side plackets are fairly narrow. So it really only holds a 16oz plastic water bottle. It doesn’t hold my reusable water bottles because they are bigger and fatter. I also use the side mesh pockets to hold my cellphone, so I can grab it quickly, but my IPhone 13 Pro is just a little too wide to get in and out of the pocket easily. Despite that, this is a great backpack for daily and travel purposes.
This was perfect for our Alaska cruise shore excursions. I bought the matching hip pack.
This is my first Cotopaxi product. This bag is everything I needed - something small (ish), light, and strong for day trips and hikes. It has lots of convenient pockets to keep my wallet safe. I'm quite short (5'1) but the bag adjusts nicely. I'm looking forward to using it more as it has only gone with me on a few day hikes and trips! I got really lucky with the colours I got too!
