Imported.

Temperature ratings are intended as a guideline to help you compare products, rather than a guarantee of warmth, since many different factors contribute to your comfort while you sleep. Backpacking bags are typically rated for temperature according to an independent testing protocol—currently International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 23537, though some older items followed European Norm (EN) 13537. Testing is based on a person wearing one base layer and a pair of socks, sleeping on an insulated surface with a minimum R-value of 5.38.

Each bag then gets 2 ratings: the Comfort rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "cold sleeper" comfortable, and the Lower Limit rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "warm sleeper" comfortable. Some brands determine their own temperature rating by aligning to the Comfort rating for women’s bags, to the Lower Limit rating for men’s bags, or somewhere in the middle for nongendered bags.

Sleeping bag with unique/thoughtful features

I was able to test this sleeping bag for free in exchange for my honest review. First off, I appreciated the stuff sack that the sleeping bag came with when I received it in the mail. The stuff sack is not water proof, just to be clear. It also came with a larger mesh bag to store the bag in when not in long term use so it doesn’t lose any insulation value from being kept in the small stuff sack. The small stuff sack makes packing and stowing it with your other gear very easy. It also doubles as my pillow case while I’m out in the mountains scouting or hunting on an overnight trip. When I put this sleeping bag to the test, I was initially skeptical due to there being no zippers. The way this bag overlaps and buttons into itself eliminates any worry of heat loss and made me a believer. My only frustration with the sleeping bag was getting used to the buttons. I had to use a head lamp multiple times to find where the buttons were located. This became less of a hassle over time and is a non issue now. I did learn quick that if each button isn’t snapped together when the temps drop, you lose quite a bit of heat. My feet got cold when the temperature dipped to 20F, but I hadn’t buttoned my bag together completely. Once I did this, my core warmed up and I didn’t have cold feet anymore. I do really like the button feature of the bag because you can be fully enclosed in the bag and reach out of it to grab your phone, water, etc. without having to unzip and lose warmth from inside of the bag. The next feature I liked on it was being able to stick my feet out when they got too warm. It took a few times to figure out how to move my feet correctly from the inside of my bag when it is fully enclosed to the open slit in the top, but it’s not difficult. I didn’t feel claustrophobic from being in this sleeping bag at all. There’s enough room to move my body and reposition with no problem. For reference, I’m 6’0 and 200 pounds. I also thought the weight/warmth of the sleeping bag was right where it needed to be. This is a great sleeping bag that I will be using for the foreseeable future!

Great bag!

I received this product in exchange for my honest review! I tested this sleeping bag while camping and working out in the field, sleeping in a tent on a pad in cooler overnight conditions. Temps were in that typical chilly range where you actually need your gear to perform, not just look good. First thing I noticed is how roomy it is. Compared to most mummy bags, this one doesn’t feel restrictive at all. I’m able to move around easily, which is huge for me since I switch between side sleeping and sleeping on my back throughout the night. It doesn’t feel like you’re fighting the bag when you roll over. Warmth and comfort are both solid. It holds heat well and stayed consistently warm overnight without needing to constantly adjust layers. The insulation feels reliable without being overly bulky while you’re inside it. The zipper-less magnetic closure system is interesting. It definitely makes getting in and out of the bag quick and easy, especially when you don’t want to mess with a zipper in the dark or with gloves on. It also helps with venting a bit if you want to regulate temperature. That said, this is probably my biggest question mark long-term. The snaps/magnetic connection feel like a potential wear point, and I’m not fully convinced how they’ll hold up with heavy use over time. Packability is decent, but I do wish it compressed down a bit smaller. It’s manageable, but if you’re tight on pack space, it’s something you’ll notice compared to more compact bags. Compared to other sleeping bags I’ve used, this one stands out most for comfort and freedom of movement. Traditional mummy bags tend to feel tight and restrictive, while this gives you more space without sacrificing too much warmth. Overall, it’s a comfortable, warm, and user-friendly sleeping bag that works really well for different sleeping styles

Flexible and Comfortable Sleeping Bag

I tested the Wraptor on an overnight camping trip in mid 50 degree temperatures using a tent setup. The magnetic closure was the biggest difference compared to traditional bags. It made getting in and out simple and allowed me to adjust ventilation quickly without dealing with a zipper. The comfort and flexibility stood out. I move a lot in my sleep and the bag allowed me to change positions without feeling restricted. Warmth was consistent for the conditions and I did not notice any cold spots. It also packed down well enough for transport and short trips. There is a small learning curve with the magnetic closure but it becomes easy to use after a short time. Overall, the Wraptor from Marmot is a great option for campers who want more freedom of movement and better temperature control than a traditional sleeping bag. A Better Sleeping Bag

I have had the opportunity to use quite a few bags in the last few years and this is a stand out bag. Easy to unbutton and disconnect the magnetic attachment. I am a warm sleeper and found this to be a warmer bag but with ease of use and the ability to stick my feet out to cool down I slept great. I would strongly recommend this bag to people getting into backpacking and camping and anyone a bit more budget conscious. This bag is not only innovative with the magnetic release but also light and of good value. The bag also packs down to a reasonable size and is made of quality fabrics. If you are looking for one a little more breathable I would recommend the down as I have had tremendous luck with down bags.

Love it!

I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. This performed just as well if not better than any other bag I've had. And it absolutely blew any other bag I've had out of the water for the sheer fact that it has a foot vent!! I'm a hot sleeper and this is an absolute game changer for comfort. I was able to use it in a range of temps from as low as 15 at night, to about 40 at night. I did crack my windows and use the foot vent on the 40 degree nights and it was perfect. I love the zipperless design even though I honestly didn't really like the idea at first. My only concern would be if the magnet points will hold up and not tear out with a lot of use. So we shall see. Overall a fantastic bag 👏 👏

Versatile Sleeping Bag

I really liked this sleeping bag. The design is a bit different from the standard mummy style, and it actually makes a noticeable difference in comfort. The layered, almost “burrito - like” construction gives you more flexibility to move around - whether that’s sticking a foot out, sleeping on your side, or spreading out a bit more like you would in a bed. The closures felt a little clunky at first, but honestly no worse than dealing with a typical zipper system. The bag is made out of nice material - it’s incredibly soft and surprisingly lightweight. It also packs down smaller than you’d expect given how warm and substantial it feels when you’re tucked in. Overall, it’s a really solid addition to a camping setup, especially if you don’t love feeling restricted while you sleep.

Actually was great sleep without a sleeping pad.

10/10 just to get that out first. My family of four have bugout bags that have been missing sleeping bags, except for the kids. I've spent a deal of time looking for the best ones for us and it's been difficult to pull the trigger. Well! I'm very grateful I ended up with this one! With it being 3 season, pretty much 4 where I'm from, it covers so much of the year. It's extremely lightweight and can be very compact with a compression bag, which is ideal with a BoB. This is the first time I've used one with these low-profile magnetic snaps and it worked out better than I thought. I'm happy that they come with a bright color so it's easy to find when it gets dark out. I used it on 2 separate nights; one night(around 64⁰) I didn't use a ground pad and I still had great sleep in this. I'm excited to try more Marmot! This feels better than when my wife let's me be the little spoon. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

Great option for warmer climates

This sleeping bag has been a great addition. Living in the South means dealing with big temperature swings so finding a bag that can handle that range isn’t easy. I usually bring multiple blankets of different thicknesses, which takes up a lot of space. This, on the other hand, is incredibly compact and a lot less cumbersome to bring. The temperature regulation is excellent. I like being able to pop my feet out—I pretty much default to sleeping that way—and the top flap makes it easy to adjust for upper body comfort. It’s been a bit warmer on recent trips, so I haven’t fully tested it bundled up, but I’d feel comfortable using this bag into the 30s. The snaps/magnetic closures are a nice change from a zipper. They’re not as intuitive at first and take a little getting used to, but they’re quieter and much less prone to snagging, which is a fair trade in my opinion. I also really like the compression sack. The bag is already very packable, but being able to cinch it down even further is a great bonus. It’s small enough that I’ll probably keep it in my truck as an emergency sleeping bag. As for fit, I’m 6’2” and was able to fit comfortably. I’m not usually a fan of mummy-style bags, but this one felt good overall, even with a larger build. The hip area is a bit snug, so I found it more comfortable sleeping on my back or stomach rather than my side. Overall, this is a great sleeping bag. I’d feel confident using it year-round in the Southeast. You get the warmth of a mummy bag with much better temperature flexibility, and its size and versatility make it a solid emergency option as well. Great design.

Love this design. You can get out of your bag without loud zippers. I tend to sleep warm so having adjustments option without noises is key for me. The bottom of the bag allows you to put your feet out. Comfortable materials and color. Seems durable and I am expecting this to last as long as my past Marmot bag.

Perfect dirtBAG!

Perfect layering setup for truck bed camping with plenty of room inside the bag. Converts from mummy style to double layer camp blanket with a single snap and a magnet clip! I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
