Beginner Fit: same size as US street shoe size. Comfort Fit: size down 1/2 size from US men's street shoe size. All-Around Performance Fit: size down 1 size from US men's street shoe size. Aggressive Performance Fit: size down 1.5 sizes from US men's street shoe size. Tenaya climbing shoes don't stretch much with use - what feels snug initially will stay pretty consistent for the life of the shoe.

I was really surprised about how comfortable the Indalos were when I put them on my feet and started climbing in them. On the wall they feel super precise and stable. I’m also a fan of the Draxtor lacing system to get the fit I’m after. I sized down 1 full size from my street shoe size and that was the ticket for me. They didn’t stretch much during the break in period. Tenayas comfort is unrivaled and I’ll be coming back.
Most comfortable climbing shoes ever! Seriously, I can wear these for hours without having my feet hurt, which is kind of rare on a more aggressive shoe. I've climbed in many pairs of La Sportiva, Scarpa, and Evolv over the years and they don't even come close to the performance and comfort of the Indalo. If you want a more aggressive shoe that's legit comfy, look no further than the Indalo!
The most comfortable performance shoe I've ever worn! The heel is secure but not too deep so it doesn't dig in. The toe is a little wider allowing toes to curl and flex without pain, and the velcro system really locks the shoe on. It's the first performance shoe i've had where I forget i'm wearing my shoes at times. Don't hesitate. Fits a little big, similar to La Sportiva
The Indalos are the perfect balance of performance and comfort. I have narrow feet with a high instep, and these fit me perfectly. Once you get the Draxtor Velcro system dialed in you can get the perfect fit every time. I also love that they can be resoled a huge plus for longevity. These are an amazing shoe for anyone looking for real performance without the pain.
I love these shoes. They are comfortable and high-performing. I find them to be a great all-arounder, where I can climb steep and flex my toes with dexterity, or stand on small edges (and still be able to feel them, "Am I on the edge? Oh yes, there it is."). They are an excellent low-volume shoe, and the Tenaya pull straps make them even more customizable. I seriously love they adjustable straps, the smartest idea... They edge and work well even when they are not super tight, and when I got a half size smaller, even better for long vertical, technical routes (provided more support in the mid-foot and toe)
I usually wear my shoes on the comfortable side of sizing. Mostly on moderate routes and multi pitch. Lately ive been in the gym and wantingy more of a performance shoe. These have been great and are crazy good on very small holds. Never felt anything like these in years of climbing. Im a fan.
If you’re an everyday climber like me, you know the struggle of wanting a high-performance, aggressive shoe without feeling like your toes are in a vice. I’ve been using the Indalos to push into higher sport grades, and honestly, they’ve changed my perspective on what an "aggressive" shoe can feel like. No more scrunched and numb toes that make me feel like cinderella's step sisters stuffing my oversized foot into something too small. Even though they are downturned, they still work really well for marble-sized chips and slabs in my experience. The velcro closure system is also a game-changer. It really allows me to get the fit to be super precise. Much more nuanced than your regular velcro!
