i measured my torso to be 18 inches wich would put me into a medium pack. i ordered this pack and the "hip belt" did not even go past my belly button. i returned it and got a large and still the hip belt does not go past my belly button and feels just as tiny as the other pack. so im gonna be returning the large and getting their "tall" pack which is insane since i am average height with only an 18 inch torso. if you like your hip straps on the center of your stomach this is the pack for you. if youre a regular person with non alien proportions this pack is not for you
You need to try this on in the store before you buy it. I found the sizing guide was off for me. It recommended a medium for my torso length, but I needed the small. I have not used it enough for a long term durability review, but it seems to be made of stronger material than many other backpacking backpacks. This is a minimalist style backpack, and that may not be for everyone. It moves with your body more and it does not feel like you are hiking with a short backboard attached to your body. That’s why I went with this style of pack, the other big band backpacks that I tried on were not comfortable even unloaded. Yes there is less padding and fit adjustments with this backpack, but those infinite adjustments and extra straps didn’t help me. I like the white color, great for not frying your gear in the summer.
