I've been using an Osprey Dyna vest for years and was excited to try this new version. The good: The fabric is fantastic and feels more like Salomon vest fabrics. The elastic closures are great, and I love the built of this vest- the compartments are well designed. The bad: The sizing is so small! I've always worn a large in the Osprey Dyna, and I considered sizing down because the large was a little loose in my old vest. This vest is SO SMALL. The armholes are tiny, the elastic straps won't even close. I'd need to size up either one or two full sizes, which they don't even make. Returning since this won't work for me.
I really like this vest and bought it specifically to wear during the Speedgoat 50k this summer. After wearing this with and without the pole quiver about 6 times trail running/racing, this vest will do the job well! I bought a medium (I’m a 36B) which is the same size as I wore in my previous Osprey Dyna vest. The bottles are easy to fill, slide into the vest at race aid stations easily (it was harder to fill the old Dyna bottles), and there’s very little bounce or sliding around when you run. I am glad I purchased this vest and plan to use it for all my trail races this year.
