adidas  Terrex Free Hiker SL GORE-TEX Hiking Shoes - Men's

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is just my opinion but I got these for doing long hikes, I wanted the deep sole and comfort over the miles, I tried them on and they felt so soft and light and I’m certain I would have been able to bounce around the lakes fells straight away with no problems. But I sent them back because firstly they were absolutely huge, I ordered half a size bigger than my normal size but to be honest half a size smaller and they’d have still fit I think. Also they were noisey, every step made like a crinkling noise like scrunching up paper, which may have worn off over time. Overall they seemed just wrong for me but very very comfy.

Fantastic walking shoe - comfortable, durable and built to last. This is my second pair, and when these eventually need replacing, I’ll happily buy them again. A reliable favourite that I always like to have in my wardrobe.

I am a size 10.5 and these fit great. Plenty of toe room. I wanted some waterproof sneakers for walking the dog spring through fall on walking/running trails. These have been great so far with wet grass and puddles - awesome grip. Very, very cushioned (they are a big shoe with a big sole). I like the quick laces though not quite as user friendly as my Soloman’s or Lisa’s but work fine - just takes a bit of adjusting to get right for quick on and tighten. The only minor issue is that these are warm - that will be fine in spring and fall. They are Gore-Tex though so I kind of expected that and they are not overly warm. Overall happy with my purchase. Only had a few weeks so let’s see how they wear over time.

Shoes developed holes in uppers on both right and left after 4 months of modest wear, ruining effect of Gore-Tex water proofing .

Be aware, the shoes have gusseted tongues and they are noisy with every step. My shoes also came with quality issues - the inside lining at the heel area of the left pair came distressed and I can imagine the life of the shoe being affected. The shoes also has a strong chemical smell. The shoes are not the most comfortable for me. They are roomy at the toe box but the top of my feet felt discomfort with the left being noticeably more annoying. I do really like the color and the way they look but I am returning them.

So light and bouncy with cushioned soles you feel like you could leap over buildings in. Waterproof to so they are perfect for long hikes up glacier trails through streams with effortless ease.

I've been wearing Adidas goretex/terrex shoes for a few years now as my work shoe. They are worn pretty much everyday and have been through the ringer. So when my last pair finally gave out, I ordered these. And man, they are well above expectations. I thought there would be a break in period, but they fit like a glove day 1 and have been the most comfortable shoe I've worn for work ever. There is not a thing to dislike about these shoes. 5/5

My husband has wide feet, so finding comfortable tennis shoes is always a struggle. Most pairs feel too tight or just don’t work for long walks. These adidas shoes were a great find. They fit him really well — comfortable right away and not too narrow. After adding better insoles, he can easily walk 10–15 miles without any issues. If you have wide feet, these are definitely worth trying.
