These were not good in my opinion. They were tough to lace up. Not a lot of give. They also gave my foot an very large blister on the inside of my foot and bruised up one of my toes. I have not had any issues with salomon boots in the past with a different style. They were ready to go right out of the box. These also felt very heavy. I am an avid hiker and i would not recommend these.

I absolutely love these hikers!! I had been hiking in a Salomon boot that I bought 10+ years ago and they were showing wear in the tread. The new boot is perfect- great fit, firm hold, easy to lace and they look great. I'm training for a big backpacking trip in June so I'm very glad I invested in these boots. They needed about 20 miles before they felt 'broken in' and now they are perfect!
