If you are a larger person, or have a "Dad Bod" like me, you could start off with a Petzl Corax or a BD Momentum 4s or a Mammut Ohpir 4s. All of these have two waist buckles, assuring you of a centered belay loop regardless of your girth; and adjustable leg buckles. This new Mens Solution Guide Plus is a quantum leap UP in build quality from the aforementioned harnesses, while featuring the same 4 adjustment points. If you spend the extra $$ on this harness now, you won't have to trade up into it a year from now; which you will. This is a really, REALLY good harness for us skinny guys who climb all the time, LOL. Coming from someone who's been in and out of more Harnesses than I'd care to disclose to my wife; this new harness is worth every penny, now and as the Summer months of climbing continue!

I am 6’10” and about 285, and this harness fits great and is very comfortable. I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to find a comfortable harness at my size. Heads up, if you return harnesses to rei, they’ll refund you but they do have to destroy them.
