REI didn't ship the expected part.
REI claimed in an answer to a question asked that this was the newest B1 version. I received A1 parts. The SRAM part number as well as the SN on the caliper confirmed that it was A1. The parts I received had also obviously been previously opened. Will be returning to my local shop today.
Awesome stopping power
I bought these 6 months ago and they have been awesome. Incredible stopping power and easy to modulate, even in wet, muddy conditions. My hands had been getting tired on the long downhills in my area (Mt Ashland trails) and these helped a lot. Easy to adjust the reach of the levers. Probably the best brakes on the market. I bought two pairs for both e-mountain bike and my acoustic.
