Favorite fishing pants
If you’re like me and live in bathing suits all summer long, this pair of pants is for you. These are definitely my favorite pants to fish in since they are quick to dry and very comfortable.
Comfy, but could use a few tweaks
Love Stio clothes in general and these comfy casual pants no exception. Fit great, high quality fabric. I get that these are casual pants, like an alternative to sweats. BUT. . . I don't love the velcro (hook & loop) closures on the back pockets and fly. The little button they use on the CFS board shorts would have been perfect. But the velcro is kinda cheap and makes me wonder how long it will perform. The one small zip pocket is good for keys or a small wallet. But, I wished there was a pocket big enough for a phone. Solid, but could be better.
Great for boating
These are perfect for days on the water, my wife and I both wear them on the boat. Love the ankle straps, I pull them up when it’s hot or when walking in water and they feel just like shorts. Block the wind while driving and I’ll wear them on top of a bathing suit on the way out. They're so versatile, we both own a couple pairs. Critique would be the velcro waistband, ideally they’d have a slight stretch in the waist with a button. The drawstring is perfect though, so not a big deal.
Way too baggy
I bought and returned the pants as they fit me like a pair of Jnco’s from back in the 90’s.
Excellent quality. From skiing to fishing/boating and a hike in between make these the go-to pants in my arsenal. Light weight material for quick dry is a must have as well as the drawstring holder, side zip pocket (nicely integrated with main pocket) and a way to cuff at the ankle. Nice fit, not to baggy yet not tight. You can move in these. I’m glad to finally say it-after many years (old man here), the PERFECT pant.
Fantastic
I cannot be happier with these pants. They are equally good for hikes, running around town or pairing with a nice hoodie and chacos to meet a friend out for lunch. I bought 2 pr, stone and blue. They are true to the waist and long enough for me. Most similar pants in other brands have been too short. Unlike prior reviewer, I like (a lot) the crease as a result of how they are folded and shipped. These aren’t pajamas.
Go-to summer pant
This is my second pair - absolutely perfect for winding down around a camp fire or paddling on a chilly day. Comfortable, flexible and functional. I would only advise upsizing if you typically wear other stio pants. For example, I wear a 33” cord pant but the waist in the board pant is unforgiving so I needed a 34” waist. I’m 6’3” 210 lbs and fluctuate between a 33-34” waist.
Goofy cut and length
These are the goofiest looking pants I’ve ever owned. As my gf tells me, they’re my bellbottom pants. For some reason they get wider after the knee down. They also are super long compared to other pants of the same waist. Had to get them hemmed. I’d suggest their product team work with men to fit their legs and height better. This seems to be a trend with their pants.
Well designed, good fit, comfortable water pants
Overall, a very good product. Purchased for standup paddle board and kayaking. Haven’t used the water pants yet, but can report the pair is well designed with fit and pockets; the fit is good (not too tight; the short length is perfect for me!); the material is very comfortable to the touch. I really like the color and look too. Well done Stio. Keep aiming high!
Could be better
Bought a pair last year. Hated the Velcro closure. Loud fabric when wearing. Thought I would give them another chance as I needed a water pant for wet wading and rowing. New description states hook and loop closure. Nope. Still Velcro. It’s annoying. I have tons of stio gear and usually they are on another level. Not these pants
