My favorite shorts!!!!
I own many diff styles and paira of Kuhls shorts but these are perfect length and style. The waiste band is great feature and material is not heavy but not lightest. I would put them in middle but slightly towards lighter side. Kuhl please make more colors and keep thia style!!!!

Shallow pockets, otherwise as hoped

I have a lot of pairs of the Deceivr pants, and now that's getting hot, I needed some shorts. These are roughly as expected, though my phone falls out of my pocket any time I squat, and sometimes just sitting, due to a much shallower pocket. The inseam isn't THAT short, so there would have been plenty of room to put the same pocket as the pants. That's the missing star, otherwise, glad I bought 3 pairs.

Very comfortable waistline

My first purchase of this style of shorts and I love them. The waistline has some stretch and give which allows for some comfort on those days you need the extra space. The material feels awesome and stretches as you move, bend, and sit. I also have the Renegade style which are also nice but for me not as comfortable in a size 36 waist.

No, I do not recommend this product
I am 5’9” and the 9” are much too long. Unlike the Deceivr pants these do not have a back left pocket nor do they have a regular, right, back pocket with a hidden zippered pocket. Both of which I miss. As REI does not carry the Kuhl Deceivr 7” as Kuhl sells on their website I returned the 9”.

Perfect Explortion and Everday Shorts

Bought a few pairs of these for a trip to Costa Rica rain forest and beach. Great hiking shorts: pockets for knive, phone, sunglasses without the bulky carogo pockets. Can wear these hiking up a muddy rainforest trail in the rain and wear them to a nice restaurant. They look great

Kuhl shorts - These are the most comfortable shorts I have found. A zippered front pocket for secure storage would be appreciated, but otherwise a great pair of shorts.
