Excellent quality and design
I received the pale blue rainsuit and love the color for any gender. The fabric is light weight and comfortable for my grandkids. The large gauge double zippers make it easy to put on over clothing. I can see this being a great outer layer for summer thunderstorms on a camping trip. It would provide protection from windy and wet conditions without unwanted warmth. It is roomy enough to use over winter weight clothing as well. I received a size 3T and it has an elasticized wrists and a velcro adjustment for the ankles. It is useable for our 2 year old allowing the legs to balloon at the bottom.. For my 3 1/2 year old year old, it is perfect. I would not hesitate to size up because if the flexibility of the fabric. The ankles are adjustable but not large enough to fit over the tops of rainboots. I am in Southern California and it has not rained but I have sprayed it with water which beads and does not soak through. I liked that the hood had some elastic to keep closer to face and not blow back as easily in the wind.
Good for extra waterproof coverage of toddlers
If you are looking for more waterproof coverage than a rain jacket offers your toddler, this rainsuit is for you. The material is the same look and feel as any high quality rain jacket so you know it's up to the task of keeping kids dry. The dual front zippers are helpful for getting squirming children inside. And the stretchy wrist and ankle cuffs are good for keeping wind and water out. It runs a little large but I think that's good because there's room to layer for warmth.
Cute! Functional!
Runs a little large on our kiddo but what a great rain-suit! It's basically just a romper version of an REI rain jacket. I like how thoughtful they were with the zipper - the pulls are baby-proofed by sewing across them and they're covered up when the suit is fully zipped up. Really easy to get our baby in and out of this jacket, pretty strait forward design. The legs have a nice velcro cinch and the hood is adjustable in the back.
Great for outdoor play!
My daughter goes to an outdoor school and this has been a game changer for play during wet weather. The school reccomended it to us, and they were right. The Velcro around the sleeves and ankles help it fit perfectly. It is waterproof and keeps her dry all day, even while raining.
PNW baby must have.
Our little puddle jumper lives in this thing. We have a full on insulated snow suit as well but always grab this as it’s super easy to layer underneath. Highly recommend.
