Perfect for hiking, day to day. I did size down per reviews and they still fit but staying true to size would have been better for a more comfortable fit . They still fit well though, I just like a looser short so my lady parts can breathe. The elastic band is everything. It’s a mid rise which took me a minute to figure out . An extra inch on the band would have been better but I still really like these. Maybe Prana will make a high rise versión for us with bellies to tuck in.

These shorts are my favorite, I purchased them in two colors because I liked them so much. The length gives the right amount of coverage without looking like I’m trying to “cover up”. I love that the leg openings are slimmer than other brands and the material and stretch waist is so comfortable! I am 5’5” and 135 lbs and wear a size small.

Inaugural wearing was on a recent camping trip and they were perfect. I will be wearing them as much as possible the rest of the summer. They're supremely comfortable but with a good (not loose) fit. I dislike when shorts flare out and these don't. I think that I want shorts to be a little long to cover my big thighs but have learned that this shorter length is actually more flattering but long enough to cover the inner thighs. The pull-up feature plus lack of rear pockets and lower front pockets removes all the bulkiness that I don't need in my middle section. ALSO the Wilderness color garnered a lot of compliments. Great pair of shorts.

I love these. The fit is great for me: I have “athletic” thighs and the leg openings are just right, the waistband is SO comfortable, the pockets actually fit things, the fabric is very abrasion resistant, and the styling is cute! Win win win. I have two colors in my closet. I was a solid 12 when I got my first pair and these were spot-on sizing. I have started to lose weight and have gone down to 10 in some brands so tried the 10 in these because the 12 is becoming quite roomy. I could have got away with 10 but they wouldn’t be as comfy as the first time I put the 12 on as I’m not quite a Prana 10. If in doubt, try both, or size up.

These shorts are perfect and so comfortable. I am 5’6” and 135 lbs. Even though the size chart for these shorts recommended small, I tried a medium based on the reviews. They were huge, so I returned for a small and they fit perfectly. The fabric is not stretchy, but there is plenty of room in the legs so I don’t feel restricted when doing my daily activities. The stretchy waist band provides comfort even when your tummy is a little bloated. I loved them so much I ordered 2 more in different colors. I wear Halle Straight pants everyday for my field job. They are equally comfortable. For size reference, I wear a size 4 in those pants.

I bought two pairs at 8 weeks postpartum and wear a pair every day. Though I’m fit and am basically back to my prepregnancy weight and shape, I also carry all of my extra weight in my belly and these shorts are comfortable and flattering to both my prebaby and postpartum body. They are super comfortable and the deep pockets fit my cell phone, a burp cloth, and an extra diaper for hiking with my baby. We go on a 3 hour hike daily and I am so glad I purchased these shorts. Thank you Prana for carrying functional shorts that active, outdoorsy ladies with a little extra in the middle can feel good wearing. These are easily my favorite short purchase ever.

I've owned the Kanab pant and put some serious wear on those bouldering over the years. They are my go-to climbing pant (bouldering & sport), and I was SO AMPED to see that they have them in shorts version. They've exceeded my expectations. Super comfortable and durable. They fit the same way the Kanab pant does. I love the elastic waistband (doesn't get stretched out over time if it's anything like the pant), and I would venture to say that I prefer this style bottom/waistband to the ReZion style when it comes to climbing bottoms. Never stop selling these please, I will buy them in every color. Bottom line: If you like the Kanab pant, definitely get these shorts.

I wanted these for a long time but hesitated because of the price. They are great shorts! They have a comfortable, forgiving fit that holds true through a long, active day. The length is perfect for a variety of activities and the waist works with a fluctuating Hashimotos’s waistline. They are perfect for a long, hot day of hiking and nice enough for travel. I wish I had owned them when I trekked to the Lost City through the Colombian jungle. They pack down small. The pockets hold a cell phone and a few wallet items very securely. They wash and dry well. I bought the olive color and have no regrets. It will work with everything. 5’5” 180lbs active and I bought size 12.

I am so happy with these shorts. Get them without a doubt. They are comfortable, cute, and durable. I like the big waste band and the large pockets. Just an FYI- there is a separate centimeter or so wide elastic in the top of the waistband, it isn't too tight though. The blue-grey color is different and nice. I can wear these looking cute around town or feeling prepared on the trail. I ordered a small and an x-small and went with the XS. It is not uncommon for me to size down in Prana bottoms, but these for sure. The smalls looked baggy and were loose in the waist. I am 26" waist, 35" hips, thin athletic build.

I bought two pairs last year and just bought another pair for this season! I wore them literally every day hiking last year. They are the perfect short. The color definitely fades over time but it doesn’t bother me. Very durable fabric and quick drying as well. I LOVe the elastic waistband. The pockets are deep in the front and easily hold my big iPhone. Maybe I shouldn’t write such a favorable review because now they will sell out! Haha!
