The short itself is solid, but I cant imagine who came up with this side pocket. Side pocket is barely big enough for a phone, and location places it right in your hip crease while you move. If you opt to put keys or something in there and the phone in an outer pocket, they dig into your leg. The location makes it very inconvenient to remove or place anything in. The shorts themselves are comfortable but this is a huge step back from the rear pocket of some other shorts.
Great mutli-purpose shorts
I love these shorts! They feel like a cross between gym shorts and the Stretch Zions. The fit/cut is great - perfect length & also loose enough that they don't ride up my thighs. They're a perfect all-around short for me. I like that I can wear them out running errands, but also be able to wear them at the gym or out on a run or playing pickleball. I wish they came in more colors; the three options are all pretty muted.
Great trail shorts
It's really awesome that they offer a pair or shorts that is unlined. That way I can wear my nice Merino wool underwear with some great quick dry athletic shorts. I like the little pocket with the zipper its perfect size for a pair of keys. Sizing is really nice as well. I wear a size 33 to 34 and the medium has a great fit. Like to mention that the waistband is really comfortable as well.
Everyday/walking short
More of an everyday or walking short than an exercise or yoga short. Generally love Prana, but not the short I pick first for workouts.
Great shorts for anything fitness related
Perfect shorts for anything active. I have 2 pairs and they are my go to over all the other brands in my drawer.
