Poor construction

The construction on the inside of the jacket isn’t very good, lots of loose threading, would expect better sewing and construction techniques at this price point where so many threads wouldn’t be loose and open to friction at a weak point. Overall on sale it may still be worth it, but in my experience Prana usually has higher quality than this. This almost feels like a fast fashion level of construction quality. I’ve seen better construction on jackets from budget brands at a fraction of the price. Design is fine though, just feels like very low construction quality. Quality this low in manufacturing hurts the Prana brand.

New favorite all-around jacket for Texas

Love the jacket! Works as a light rain jacket too, and the weight and material is perfect for hikes and outdoor excursions in spring/fall weather. Can definitely take it out in the winter with good layering as well. The only thing I can say is that the sizing is different from other jackets I buy. I usually wear a Large, but the Large was way too big and I opted for a Medium, which fit but is just a bit on the snug side.

It's okay

Overall, I do like the Palisades Ripstop Field Jacket and would give it 3.5 stars. Color is very cool. Fit is a bit too baggy. The rolled up hood makes the collar too 'padded' looking (I actually ended up cutting the hood out of the jacket as it was kind of weird and I would probably never end up using it anyway). The snaps at the wrist of the jacket are very, very weak; almost useless.

Super lightweight and great looking top layer

Great looking, very functional. I was looking for something lightweight; this actually more lightweight than I was looking for. But, it’s a good casual, top layer that should be pretty water resistant - and it looks good.

Amazing! Best jacket in forever.

This is now my favorite jacket. It's very light weight, comfortable and much warmer than I realized. My friends have even asked where I got it so they could get one. I love it!
