Haven't tried it in the rain yet

Like this jacket so far - style, fit, color, length - but haven't had an opportunity to wear it in the rain yet, bought it for fall travel to Scandinavia where it will be tested repeatedly. Prospective buyers should note that just as shown in the REI photos, when the hood is off and the jacket is unzipped at the top there is no way to avoid "flaps" sticking up at the top of the zipper. (This doesn't bother me because I will want the extra-high zipper for protection from the weather.) Also, if you want to wear heavy layers underneath, you may want to size up; I'm 5'6", 123 lbs and the size small has limited room for layering.

Good Northface raincoat medium length

Good versatile raincoat. It was much shorter than I wanted. It was to replace my old Northface raincoat which was longer.

Checks the boxes

I looking for city fashionable raincoat, but after buying a few coats in less technical brands that weren’t truly waterproof I tried this one. It’s more of a box-checker than fashion forward, but it’s okay. The one weird thing is that the hood is very small, it barely covers my face. I’m 5’1” 125lbs, got a small to accommodate a round tush.
