Excelent Ultralight Tent

The tent is made with quality ultralight materials. I haven't used this tent in the backcountry yet, but I will sometime later this year. The tent took me around 2 ~ 3 minutes to completely set up. The only caveat with this is I would recommend using a footprint / tarp to protect the floor of the tent.

Great ultralight 2 person with real vestibules.

I took the Cassira 2 with me to New Zealand for a rafting and fly fishing trip. We were helicoptered into the backcountry and dropped off, then rafted our way out. The Cassira 2 worked great for this trip because while I had weight and size restrictions, I still wanted some extra vestibule space to stow gear under. The poles are all attached together in one bundle, but it wasn't cumbersome to set up or take down. One tip: make sure you disconnect both ends that connect to the hub when packing it up. If you don't, you'll find the bag won't close over the poles. The pole bag uses a flap to close instead of a drawstring. I'm sure that's to reduce weight. I do wonder if that could eventually become a wear point, but I had no issues with it during this trip. I used the tent solo, so I had plenty of space. Even with two people, I think it would still feel roomy, especially since both sides have equal-sized vestibules and doors. That makes it easy for each person to leave gear outside their own side. I could sit fully upright inside, which is nice, and there are some handy pockets and attachment points inside for lights and small gear. It also comes with good quality stakes (yay!). We did get some serious rain and I was nice and dry inside, of course packing everything up while it was still wet is never fun. The stuff sack is big enough to allow you to roll the fly and the tent separate which is great if you have to pack up with everything still wet. You could use the tent without stakes if you had too as the polles are a Y and would keep the head of the tent away from your head. The foot area would drape in without stakes. It is kinda cool that you can use the fly in a couple of different ways to either no fly, partially on, or completely on. They have various names for the "modes". Because we had rain most nights, I just had the fly completely on and the tent staked out. If I remember correctly, the tent stake loops did not have tension hardware on them so you do have to pull the stake out and into the right place to get the tent itself setup, but the fly did have tension hardware, make it a little more flexible on where you can set the stakes. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a 2-person ultralight tent that still has a real vestibule.

Wet outside, dry and spacious inside.

Spent a several very wet nights in the Cassira, dry and comfortable. Super grateful for the huge covered vestibule space for all of our drippy gear.
