Bibs for Bike Touring

I was reluctant to spend over $200 on an untested brand of bibs. When they went on sale I jumped. I've used these bibs on 2 gravel rides and a commute (32 miles rt). The fit of these is unlike top name brands (Rapha) in that they are not at all compressive although they do not sacrifice in the leg bands, so they do stay in place. The shoulder straps are set at off to the sides in front, unlike other bibs where the straps come more to the front of the body. This allows for the drop tail to function but also allows for easier pulling down in front for guys to wiz. The material is sturdy, The cargo pockets mesh material is sturdier than some more expensive bibs. I have not had need to use the drop tail, I usually take care of business before I ride, but I did test it for comfort and usability and the design is sound. The business of chamois being "unattached" makes no sense to me. I can't tell a difference between this chamois and my other bibs except that, while adequately thick and comfy, it is not quite as sturdy and comfortable as those Rapha bibs (for which you pay top dollar). All in all, I think I found excellent multi-day touring bibs, and based on other Fjallraven clothes I own, I expect them to hold up well and last a long time.
