Sweaty Folks Beware

I’ll start off by saying I absolutely love Roark- their lined athletic shorts are my go-to for most runs. And this shirt is truly excellent. HOWEVER, the reason I only give three stars instead of five is because it’s marketed as a quick-drying shirt and it absolutely is NOT! I sweat a LOT, and bought this expensive shirt because the days are getting hotter and I wanted a running shirts that wasn’t black and was going to be sweat-wicking and fast-drying. I saw the description online and thought, “awesome!” I went and tried it on and it fit great, so I went home with it. Ran an 8-miler the following day, and I was drenched within a mile or two. I literally had to wring out my shirt when I got home, it carried so much moisture! Don’t get me wrong, I’m keeping the shirt - it’s breezy, light (when it’s not drenched), and has a UPF rating that I find acceptable (I’m pretty paled so that detail matters to me!). I’m just never running longer than a 5k in it ever again. If you’re looking for a good running shirt that will keep you dry, I’m afraid you’ll probably have to keep looking.
