Women's Squamich Jacket

It is a quality light weight jacket that is packable. The zippers move smoothly, and the fit is correct for a women's size small. The material in excellent. We'll know more when it is used. If you fell on a rock what would happen to the Jacket? Inside the jacket on both sides there is a rectangular piece of material ; it is not sewed at the top or bottom. What is it's purpose?

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. We're happy to hear that you are fond of the Squamish Jacket, and we appreciate you sharing your initial thoughts. The rectangular piece of material on the inside of the jacket is the construction of the hand pockets. The fabric panel you see on each side is the inside pocket bag attached to the external zippered hand pockets. Because the pocket bag is only secured around its edges and pocket opening, it may appear as a separate piece of fabric when viewed from inside the jacket. We hope this helps clear things up!

Lightweight and packable

Lightweight, good fit, packable I returned the jacket as the pineberry colour is very transparent/ see-through. I will likely buy another one if they offer a darker colour and/or thicker fabric.

Hello there, thank you for sharing your experience with the Squamish Jacket. We’re glad to hear the lightweight feel, fit, and packability worked well for you, and we understand how the Pineberry colourway felt more transparent than expected. The Squamish is intentionally built with an ultralight, air‑permeable fabric to keep weight to a minimum, which means that nearly all colourways—especially lighter ones—will appear somewhat translucent due to the nature of the material. We appreciate you returning it and letting us know what you’re looking for in a future version; we’ll be sharing your feedback with our design team as they continue refining colour options and fabric choices.
