The rectangular piece of material on the inside of the jacket is the construction of the hand pockets. The fabric panel you see on each side is the inside pocket bag attached to the external zippered hand pockets. Because the pocket bag is only secured around its edges and pocket opening, it may appear as a separate piece of fabric when viewed from inside the jacket. We hope this helps clear things up!

We’re glad to hear the lightweight feel, fit, and packability worked well for you, and we understand how the Pineberry colourway felt more transparent than expected. The Squamish is intentionally built with an ultralight, air‑permeable fabric to keep weight to a minimum, which means that nearly all colourways—especially lighter ones—will appear somewhat translucent due to the nature of the material.
