Please stop changing perfectly good products and improve quality control
I miss the old days of Prana. For some reason Prana seems to think it is a good idea to take products that people have loved for years and needlessly change them. Everything is different about these pants compared to my older pairs. Colors are vastly different from past pairs, the material is different, and as others have stated the inseam lengths are not consistent at all. As another reviewer pointed out, the old pairs that had "Born from the experience" written in the waistband are far superior. Also, not everyone is over 6 feet tall, bring back the 28" inseams. They are still decent pants, but I wish I was able to get the older versions.
Don’t buy unless you try them on
I bought these before Xmas. Got the 33x32. The length was 2 inches long. I ordered multiple pants in this order and none of them were the correct size. I have lots of prana pants and the inconsistencies between the same size pants is disappointing. I don’t think I will buy online again. Picture is 2 pants from this order that are the same size. The legs on one are 2 inches long and the other has a waist 2 inches bigger. Only buy in store after trying on. FYI I have a lot of prana and have never been disappointed until now.
Good jeans...but pockets are trash
I've bought probably 20 pairs of Prana jeans over the years. I stupidly keep buying them because they fit well, but the pockets are complete trash. The pockets in every single pair I've owned have torn out due to very cheap pocket material. I don't even carry keys or anything sharp and they still tear after about 6 months and become unusable. Really amazing that they haven't fixed this unacceptable quality problem that has been known for years. Not just a one off problem - every single pair.
NOT SLIM FIT
I ordered these because I wanted some fitted, yet comfortable, jeans to wear when I go back into the office. I am not really a slim fit guy (40” waist), so I was a little worried that the use might be a bit too tight on me, particularly around my thighs and calves. I shouldn’t have worried. These jeans are closer in fit to JNCO than they are to slim fit. The rest of the jeans I own are straight leg or boot cut, in the exact same size as these, but compared to those these Bridger jeans are essentially bell-bottoms. The waist on these are fine, so I know it is not a sizing issue but instead the cut of the jeans. There is really nothing wrong with this fit, if that is what someone is looking for. But for prAna to call them “slim fit” is simply inaccurate. I am returning these jeans and will be taking my business elsewhere.
Great Pants Bad Pockets
The pants are great and fit perfectly. My disappointment after owning three pairs is the materials used to make pockets. My cellphone, which has no hard edges, wore through the pocket. I've owned the brion shorts for three years now and the materials used for those pockets have held up well. Also, every pair I have owned the denim will show an outline of your phone within a month or two of average use. Not a huge deal but a little disappointing if you want to wear them on a nice outing
These. Pants. Are. SICK.
I was honestly a little weary after reading some of the reviews on here. I ended up getting the "midnight wash" version and WOW, these pants are amazing. New favorite pair, hands down. They aren't too stretchy, sure, but the material is really nice and smooth, decently breathable, but still thick and sturdy enough. The build quality feels great and they fit incredibly well on me. I'm a thinner guy - 135Ibs 5' 10" - and these fit me incredibly. I wish they came in a 29 because the 28 is a bit too well-fitting and if I gain weight as I age it won't be too great for these pants :(. Highly, highly recommend. Especially for the price right now.
Best Jeans EVER!!!
I bought my first pair of Bridger jeans in 2016, in Portland, OR. The lightness and stretch of the fabric make it the BEST jean for an active lifestyle. My first pair developed holes in the backside, after four years of non-stop use. I think these holes developed because I cycled in them a lot! I now have an additional five pairs... one of them in reserve for future use. Some sizing advise... they run a little big in waist... if you are between 32" and 33", purchase the 32" inch waist size. They are comfortable when SNUG... uncomfortable when loose. I love these pants!
Reduced quality and functionality
Like many others, I’m a long time customer and have noticed a decline in quality and craftsmanship. These jeans are fine, sized a little small, but the fabric is really thin compared to old styles. I’m very active an I do not expect these to last very long. Also, the worst part is the small pockets. Having things fall out of small pockets makes me hesitant to purchase these products. This has been the case on multiple recent styles. I don’t know why that decision was made, but as an avid outdoorsman I’ve noticed styles beginning to move towards fashion rather than functionality and quality. I’ll wear these jeans out but wouldn’t buy them again.
Don't Buy the Black Jeans
These attract every bit of fuzz, hair or lint from anywhere you can imagine. Not sure ehat it 8s about the material, but no matter where I go, they get completely cpveref and look terrible.
Great until the pockets blew out
I really like Prana's clothes - they're great for climbing, and I can get away with wearing them other places quite often. I own about ten pairs of their pants - they're usually solid. The bridger jean is another story though. I bought a pair about six months ago - wore them a handful of times (never climbing, never out on hike or trip - I broke my leg) and both front pockets have torn away from top! There's no holes or anything - where the pocket meets the jean tore on both sides. I haven't worn these enough or even given them enough of a workout for them to blow out the pockets. Everywhere else is solid. I won't buy another pair. Beware!
